  1. Flat bed Gladiator build

Nice fabrication work :) Can't wait to see finished product.
  2. Oh Jeep... Why you so backwards?

I saw the original post and have to agree, most automatics going all the way back to 60's you shift up to next gear not pull back. I remember way back a dual gate shifter that I think came with a towards rear shift pattern.
  3. No Rubicon Red Dash

I actually like the red, but only on certain colors. What would have been nice is if jeep would have made the dash match the outside of the vehicle. Also the red stitching on the leather seats is cool but again your stuck with red. IF they would have kept it generic black or gray then people...
  4. Is it me, or does the JT really struggle...

That is interesting perspective :) My father's two uncles the younger of which is now 95. Back in the day would deer hunt in Montana and drive all the way from northern California in a flat fender Willy's. I was told top speed was about 50 mph and kept it about 45 mph all the way. PS I'd...
  5. Jeep Gladiator issues

Well hopefully the problems are behind you and you can start to enjoy the truck. I know first hand when you buy a new vehicle and you loose the "trust". I bought a new 3rd Gen Tacoma (first year of that new body style) in April 16. Come November we had a lot of rain, the back passenger area...
  6. Anyone install 1” leveling kit on Rubicon?

Thank you....I have to admit I didn't intend on the Granite Crystal but since all the Rubicon stuff is red I am really liking the color now Below is a pic when I put camera in miniature mode kind of makes it look like a Hot Wheel :) but you get a better view of clearance on front
  7. Jeep Gladiator issues

Yeah, definitely keep records, we had dates of when wifes car went in who we talked to especially once we noticed this was going to be a problem... The FormerToyotaGuy goes all the way back to when I was FormerJeepGuy going from my YJ to a Toyota FJ on those forums and later a Tacoma LOL...
  8. Jeep Gladiator issues

As someone mentioned above some "lemon laws" require it going in for the same thing several times over. That was the case with wife's last car. However, we also had a LED taillight go out which was probably just a fluke BUT I used that as "this is a POS car, its got like 9k miles on it the sun...
  9. Anyone install 1” leveling kit on Rubicon?

The tires on the Jeep are the stock ones All Terrains that came with the Jeep, the Wheels are slightly wider so pushed out the tire a tiny bit. No, rub and with the leveling kit it clears the 33" tires even better
  10. Jeep Gladiator issues

It's my understanding that buy back or lemon laws can differ from state to state. However, we had a SUV (won't mention manufacture because it wasn't their fault) it went in several times for a panoramic sunroof creaking. The dealership worked on it several times and each time it got worse...
  11. Jeep owner jealousy?

I have no jealousy, I have wanted a Jeep "truck" since I remember the Scrambler as a kid. Then when I saw the aftermarket company builds like the "Brute" I said to self ..."If Jeep ever builds that from factory I am buying one" :) I grew up as a kid in 70's a teen in 80's I remember found...
  12. GRANITE CRYSTAL JT Gladiator Club

    Mine sporting Mammoth Generals
  13. Grand Cherokee?

Wife has a 2019 Grand Cherokee Overland, not an L. She loves it. We test drove EVERYTHING ?. Full size Tahoe and Sequoia = Too Big actually too wide. She had a Kia Sorrento and it was a great car suv but had a horrible dealership experience dealing with the giant sunroof and a rattle that...
  14. Anyone install 1” leveling kit on Rubicon?

I installed the 1.5 my avatar pic is with the pucks in those are the stock tires (no sense in tossing new tires away :) on aftermarket Mammoth wheels
  15. 2024 Tacoma (4th gen) prototype breaks cover ?

100% agree on the step back. The 2016 TRD Off -Road felt "cheaper" than the Gen 2 trucks. I am not a fan of the 3.5 L compared to previous 4.0L
  16. 2024 Tacoma (4th gen) prototype breaks cover ?

Totally agree. I had a 2016 which was the first year of the 3rd Gen. I thought family members 2nd had a better dash gauge cluster, mine truly looked like the same gauges (updated) out of my 82 Toyota Truck just blue instead of green. Non disk brakes in the rear, the 3.5 engine had no low end...
  17. What was your ride before the JT?

2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road ...nice truck MUCH happier with JT
  18. What engine would you prefer? (Revised)

I voted for the 5.7 it is the perfect balance of power, torque and yes even sound. No, 392 great engine drove a buddies Challenger with it fun as all h3LL, but wrong engine for a 4x4 off road vehicle. Sure if your going to use it on dunes it would be fun, or as a street beast but not practical...
