  1. Trade My Tesla and JLU for a JT?

I tend to agree with you. He could also just keep the JLU as a weekend warrior.

  4. Lets see all those Gladiators with lifts and bigger tires!

I like the combo! What area of Houston are you in? I'm around Cypress. I had to get the kids out for a quick drive today. The weather was so nice in the afternoon after the rain ended.

What fender liners, if any are you using?
  6. Broken body mount weld

Have you gone through a similar experience? I just finished ordering most of the parts and they should be here next week. I went safe and bought the rubber bushings just in case they are damaged. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Broken body mount weld

You are a saint!. I was intending on doing what you mentioned. The actual welding I'm not going to do, as I don't trust myself doing it. I have a processional high end welder that will be doing the actual welds. From that info your sent, it allowed me to find this...
  8. Broken body mount weld

Hey, Some of you may know that the welded nut snapped off the body of my Gladiator while trying to remove the bolt on the rear passenger side. The dealer doesn't want to touch it, so the next option is to pull it apart, possibly drill a little hole in the tub and extract it that way. Anyway...

Cool. That's not surface rust on the edges is it?

  14. Rock Rails Thread

That part is easy. Some of it of course flakes off just by picking at it. If you get a couple of nuts with the same thread pitch and run it back and forth it will work its way off. Could even apply some heat and melt it, along with spinning the nut back and forth a bit. That's what I've done...
  15. Rock Rails Thread

Thanks. fyi, I do admit my mistake. Its like roulette it seems like. It could have been completely avoided. Listen to the folks above this comment ^^ Its not worth the risk without an induction type heater!
  16. Rock Rails Thread

Oh yeah, that would have probably done it. You'd need to put it on there for a while since the bolts are pretty long. That sounds like a good solution to try. The problem with a butane torque is you risk melting things around the area. The induction header or electric briquette lighter at...
  17. Metalcloak lift

    Looks fantastic. 37x12.5s?
  18. Rock Rails Thread

Or maybe not enough heat as that bolt is super long? Sorry on my phone otherwise I would have edited it.
  19. Rock Rails Thread

Yeah I have definitely seen the posts. I did apply heat with a butane torch as part of the process so this didn't happen to me. Maybe applying more would have helped. It broke off with a ratchet. It's not like a used a huge breaker bar or anything. It's probably the red locktite and maybe a...
