  1. Where are they now?? **offroad parks & destinations of the past (and updates?)

After doing a half-dozen Jeep Jamborees, we signed up for our first Rubicon July 2025. Am told Rubicon over the years has gotten a bit more difficult (steeper in places) due to all the traffic it gets. Gladys is my daily driver so yes i'm nervous but will feel great once we complete the trail...
  2. Just got the latest in Winch technology

I used my winch to pull out some juniper bushes.
  3. Extreme review of the KO2's

On a trip like that, I would have hired local security--if at all possible.
  4. Whelp...it's my turn...busted visor :-(

This happened to my driver side visor, on the way to a Jeep Jamboree last year. Dealer repaired under extended warranty when i got back. Seems like it's a recurring issue.
  5. Extreme review of the KO2's

Was anyone in the group allowed to be armed?
  6. Porsche 911 Targa VS Jeep Gladiator JT appearence performance

I constantly dreamed of getting the Porsche until i regeared my manual JT with 5:13 ratio. Now, no need to dream of Porsche. No need for Hemi conversion, either.
  7. Gladiator Recovery Assist Pictures: The Hall of Shame

I took mine there, before i got 37's. Extreeeemely soft sand, compared to what we have in CA.
  8. Drive on the Beach

This article on Usal Beach says driving on beach no longer allowed (but also says it doesn't get much attention from park staff): https://www.californiabeaches.com/beach/usal-beach/#google_vignette Only spot i know of near NorCal is, as OP noted, Oceano Dunes. My post here includes a map of...

Happy with my Coleman on a half-rack.
  11. 37s giving 2.5 MPG better than stock?

I can confirm similar improvement in highway fuel economy (close to 20mpg) after i upgraded to 37's and regeared to 5.13 (city is also slightly improved). I have heavy accessories. Also, stick.
  12. Auto Start Stop switch – Not why? But Why?

Aside from the (admittedly miniscule) risk of fatal or severe injury from delay in acceleration to escape a sudden threat, added expense (for added components, added service, and added wear and tear to existing components) for dubious benefit, I just don't like the idea of routinely pressing a...
  13. Auto Start Stop switch – Not why? But Why?

That might work, if you have the steel rear bumper (front and rear, even better).
  14. Auto Start Stop switch – Not why? But Why?

Yes but if you keep your clutch pedal to the floor you never know it's there.
  15. Auto Start Stop switch – Not why? But Why?

    Convert to manual transmission.
  16. Religious Token found in Gladiator

You are lucky! I don't think those were meant to be deposited in the Eco models.
  17. Power Inverter A/C Power Voltage Quality - Oscilloscope Display

I recently got this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0767F5DPJ?th=1 Actually picked it up at a local Home Depot due to delivery delays with Amazon. Not a pure sine wave inverter, whatever that is, but worked fine with my coffee maker which is about all i plan to use it for.
  18. Top 5 (functional) Accessories for Any Jeep

    1. 37's 2. Lift 3. Regear to 5.13 These are the most functionally important mods i've done. Also, those of you with auto might want to switch to stick.
