  1. Need guide local to Telluride in 2025

Thanks to everyone for the input. I was pretty sure the passes wouldn't be too difficult but mainly wanted to be familiar with the most common direction for each and making sure I can maximize my time by running one then another. Clarification on Holy Cross, we will be linked back up with my...
  2. Need guide local to Telluride in 2025

Thank you so very much. Etiquette was one of my concerns as far as direction, also trying to figure out most efficient order of trails. I was told to run Imogene then hop over to Ophir and could finish both in a day. Not sure about Black Bear but definitely the other two.
  3. Need guide local to Telluride in 2025

My son and I are taking a long trip west from VA next August. Going to run Rubicon then work our way back through CO for the passes and on to Holy Cross. We ran all the 8s and 9s in Moab in '23 so not new to this. Part of trip will be with our club but as they go on to Fordyce and others, we...
  4. Where are they now?? **offroad parks & destinations of the past (and updates?)

Another vote for Tellico. Those were the days.
  5. Tell me about your front/rear Differential Skids

I second the Next Venture skids. I've crashed down on mine and zero damage to diffs. They are beasts. Yes they're pricey, but worth every penny.
  6. Purpose of bedside cutout and nuts behind them?

Does anyone know the purpose of the cutouts on the side of bed edge cap? Located on both sides of bed and if you run your fingers along the lip, there are two weld nuts behind each of them. Just noticed the nuts and can't figure what the reason could be.
  7. Bed front plug as pass through for cables

Wondering if anyone has used the two plugs toward outside lower corner of bed front panel as a cable or hose pass through? Looking down between cab and bed its clearly a plastic plug but mine is spray-lined in place. I haven't really tried yet to get it out but thought it may provide a protected...
  8. Throwback Thursday - Post your favorite rig pics from the past

Pulling up to my house with my new 91 YJ. This Jeep would be heavily modded over the following year and take me to my first Rubicon trip in '93.
  9. Bent rear swaybar link

I just finished replacing mine with the RockJock following a bent link. Drove a bit funny cuz mine was much much worse. You could be fine until you fix.
  10. Took "Jeep" Letters Off Tailgate

The center of both holes vertically is 10" exactly from bottom edge of tailgate. The center of left round hole horizontally is 21" from left edge of tailgate, the center of oblong right hole is 30 3/4" from left edge.
  11. J E E P tailigate lettering removed / dimensions?

The center of both holes vertically is 10" exactly from bottom edge of tailgate. The center of left round hole horizontally is 21" from left edge of tailgate, the center of oblong right hole is 30 3/4" from left edge. What are you looking to put on?
  12. Who uses a dash cam and what do you recommend?

I use a Blackvue 580 series. 2 channel so front and rear. Yes it needs a separate Blackvue GPS receiver but its not a big deal. Fabulous picture quality, with 128G card in it I get about 28 hours of both channels recorded before it starts to overwrite old data. Mine is wired to my SwitchPro...
  13. [Updated w/ recovery video] Jeep Gladiator shears off a wheel climbing Devil’s Hot Tub @ Moab

When I was out there at EJS this year I decided Car Wash was enough tub for me. Fun to watch the others but needing to drive back to VA made caution the rule.
  14. Getting a group together for Moab EJS

@Mbryson is correct. I drove out from VA. I'm 80% firm for next year and look forward to running his groups again.
  15. Driving extended distance in heavy mud experiences

Reading about the dolts trapped in the Nevada desert at Burning Man had me thinking. I've been wheeling almost 40 years, everything from Moab to Rubicon to Missouri to Florida including foreign countries. I have NEVER had to navigate 6-8 miles of flat, straight road that is 6-10" of mud. Would...
  16. Moab hotels.

    I got them
  17. Moab hotels.

You are correct. Hoping to make it out again.
  18. Moab hotels.

I stayed at the Silver Sage Inn this past EJS. Don't let the simple appearance fool you. Recently new owners, lots of upgrades, VERY clean, well located and inexpensive. I've already booked for next year.
  19. Factory rear seat power point?

I appreciate both replies. I had looked at the ones available but hoped there was something factory that included 12v port for fridge. Thanks to you both, now I can plan my madness.
