I am traveling right now so can't take any pics, but I loosened and then tightened the levers that you snap for the top and made sure the rubber casing/seal/gasket(?) aligns properly and pressed hard down - used a ladder on the side... It took me a couple of tries. I have a feeling I might have...
Thanks for uploading this - just as I suspected it is really not that loud. I think I am going to get the ATAK. I want a bit of oomph rumph to the rumble LOL. I just was worried that the ATAK might sound like a bro-dozer but I don't believe it will.
I actually learned a lot from this guy's YT channel. I have no affiliation to that channel and even though the channel name is TinHatRanch, he is quite knowledgeable LOL. Even though it is for bugout a lot of that information can be applied to overlanding too. For anyone to know more about the...
LMK how you like the sound and if it is too loud? It is really hard to discern the sound from the videos - I thought the highest rated ATAK was not really that loud LOL. This is the S type right? I have been contemplating between these two as well. I was initially leaning towards Magnaflow rock...
You Sir have a lot of patience LOL. It looks great, good job! I like how you can take it off easily while you are not overlanding... Yeah the basket looks nice has a bit of a retro feel to it.
I am just waiting for the rack by Maximus, cuz that is what I like and have zeroed in on and I am...
That's what I got from it as well and regular travel is how far forward on how they calculate the RTI score... I am no expert but that is what I learned ,but maybe someone else can chime in if that is incorrect.
Very nice write up of the install. But, what I did was run it through the frame rail of the JT from the driver side and there is a plug in the driver side to pull the cable into the cabin. I didn't need to poke any holes...
LOL you are insane! I have been slowly convinced to go to 37 and you re-gear and go to 39 hahaha... After all this, if you don't take this to a trail it would be a shame ;)
I bought the XL Longs as well. Just haven't installed it yet LOL. I figured I am going to lift it soon anyways so why get the shorter ones. Plus it is really not that much bigger but I feel like the other sizes would be smaller on a lifted Jeep.
LOL, Idk what to tell you. I guess if you are not taking a financial hit might as well play the swap game. But, from black to GCM to FCR to Billet Silver sounds rather boring. I find silver to be such a neutral color.... but again this is totally subjective and you might find it to be amazing of...
Congrats on your Gobi! Yeah, modding it is a lot of fun to personalize it. I am doing it at my own pace and hopefully be done by the summer. That's the plan. I still have some parts that I haven't gotten around to install yet.
I am sure you are going to love your Gobi JT! :like:
