I wouldn't jump to the conclusions fast. Way a life on YT installed a pre-production prototype on his Jeep and it looked ok to me. The only thing I didn't like in that is that he had to cut a piece off which I think is somewhat not plug and play and maybe they will address that in production...
Just read this - wow I am glad you are ok and I am sure the damage can be fixed. But, I feel the pain of going thru this with a new vehicle. Good luck with everything! I wonder what the requirement is from the insurance companies to just get you a new vehicle?
I was thinking about posting pictures but those pictures are not mine obviously and I am not sure if I am allowed to post those pictures.... From the looks of it on the outside it looks good. But, the seller has not posted any pictures of the undercarriage or under the hood, engine etc.
What do you guys think is a fair price for a 1971 J10 if you are looking for a project car? One came up nearby me here, which is one of those old farm truck styles with a wooden bed frame and a rebuilt motor and automatic transmission... They are asking $7500 for it... I don't know much about...
Yeah, I figured it would be a visual deterrent. I am just worried that I have to visit one of our client offices next week and my friend's SUV was stolen from the Marriott parking lot there when we visited last time LOL. I might just rent a car.
I was wondering if any of you use The Club or a steering wheel lock device or any other gadget/device to protect your JT when you park in places where car theft might be high?
Nice, I need to look into it. But, I wired my CB from inside so I don't need to do that but I plan to add lights and that might be a cleaner solution. It is < $40 so not too shabby!
Is that Warn 10S or 12S you got going there? Did you connect that directly to the battery?
What a grinch cop LOL
Well, staying home is prolly not a bad thing with those conditions. Gives you more reasons to work on your restoration projects :P
Well, in the handful of times I have to deal with such level of snow I will throw my other lights and flame throwers on and I shall risk getting that ticket ;)
Has anyone looked at adding different color matched hoses, fittings, engine covers, bolts etc to beautify under the hood engine compartment? Just curious if the Jeep community does that?
I agree with you, for the price (almost $2500) they should be a better fit. I don't like that gap at all. I have been contemplating between these and RSE and I prefer the right fit of the RSE and the rock sliding capability with the breadth and width of these AMP steps. LOL I want a fusion of...
When I did own my TJ, I was young and didn't mind the small Jeep as my DD. I really enjoyed the TJ. But, Idk now if I can invest in a small vehicle like that only if it is like my 3rd car.... I think that is why in the US a lot of people opt for the bigger Jeeps, easier with kids and family etc...
Yeah, I believe it. Like the Harbor Freight Daytona floor jack and the Snap-On one both being made at the same factory I am sure or using very similar processes but one cost 5X.
Idk man, I feel like maybe I should go to 37s and then I would have to re-gear. I might as well just take the plunge...
