FWIW, I can't give you any scientific or technical reasoning, but I drove from MD to OH after my truck only had 200 miles on it with the truck bed full of stuff normally and I have 7k miles on it now, got my first oil change done and no issues. Just drive like you would any other car, but I...
Why are you considering 37s? Are you not happy with 35s for some particular reason? i know that you wheeled with your 35s so would like to have some first hand information...
Idk why this is such a big issue, this is the perfect excuse to add more lights :P. Just like @noside85 said, just add additional Halogen or any other kind of heated lamps on your bumper or windshield or on the A-pillar and just use it in the snow...
Funny to see this post today, I was actually thinking about why no one has developed a mod that would make the Jeep more aerodynamic while driving on the highways that can be put away during other occasions? Is this not feasible or maybe just too cost prohibitive? Creating some kind of an add-on...
I am contemplating them cuz I think they look amazing esp on a Firecracker Red. I am leaning towards the fixed beam as opposed to the flood... I like those red elements on the lights will flow with the rest of the truck well!
I'll post pictures later but you basically run it around the hood and it will be exposed in the corner a bit but it tucks in under the hood and you run it down with clips provided to keep it in place and plug it into the parking lights.
Well, they expect you to hook it into your parking lights not your headlights... Is DRL same as parking lights? So, it won't be turned on all the time. Idk if it is legal or not, I'll let you know if I get pulled over :CWL:
I added a DV8 off road hood locking hold downs and replaced the clamps. You can look at it in my build thread. It is not bullet proof but you need a key to open it or a pretty heavy duty bolt cutter :). I mainly added that to secure what is under the hood and to keep the hood from flapping up...
Interesting, I don't plan on rock crawling but if an adjustable track bar is absolutely necessary for overlanding while on some light to medium trails I will consider adding one, esp if it adds more lateral stability and reduces wobble?
So, for my needs I finally decided on ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2.5" suspension lift kit and their steering stabilizer. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but I have never done such an install. The local reputable 4x4 shop quoted me $780 for the install including taxes. The price seems fair to me...
How often do you take your GT3 RS out @smlobx ? I remember driving one of my friend's GT3 RS and when I got out of the car I felt like, if I owned this car, in all probability I am going to die in it! LOL :CWL:
