There is a thread here https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/anybody-heard-anything-about-this.53882/ with a bunch of talk about it.
A few guys got it delivered but have not yet installed it.
I guess RR said that the back isn't really meant to be folded up over the sound bar like...
I don't have trail rails, but I almost bought an Overhaul HD off of a guy who ran them in his JT without trail rails... besides, I am looking to get a tonneau with the t slot track, either bak revolver or whatever rugged ridge comes out with with the track.
If you don't notice any noise with...
How bad is the wind noise when you run a rack and have the roof. roof and doors off? How about with the soft top pulled back?
I'm still on the fence about my rack needs. My old tacoma had a shell with a rack, and it was great. I'm planning on a Yakima Overhaul or OVS Freedom truck rack...
i'll be doing this once my decals come in from pixel decals... i got the red and black topo hood, vents and rear tailgate decals. in the mean time, i have been watching a couple of videos to plan out the install.
This one from underground graphics shows how they do the back up camera wrap at...
that is sweet! I wish i knew that existed for my old tacoma with a camper shell. it was a pain to get more than three bikes on the tailgate pad with the shell.
I have crystal clear hd radio signal with the stock antenna, immediate static with the shorty.
i live in newburyport ma, like 25 miles north of boston. radio signal is typically pretty decent around me, i'm not in the sticks.
is there anything you would do differently to mount the storage bags? I realize that these are not heavy duty points to secure loads
yup, i will only use the eye bolts for light loads. the rails would be ideal, but the eye bolts are only for the cargo nets
I guess my real qustion is, are the threaded part in the bed steel or aluminum? If its aluminum, my understanding is that it will corrode and cause problems. will the stainless react weirdly with the treads in the bed?
I don’t have trail rails. I don’t think I need them. After owning a Tacoma for 6 years I never really used the bed rails for more than mounting mesh storage bags in the bed with a camper shell.
I’m going to eventually get a tonneau with a Yakima overhaul hd rack. The trail rails cost don’t...
i am very interested. the price is right, and if its only on in the summer, I could deal with zippers.
nothing wrong with a little competition for jeep/mopar.
thanks for pointing me in the right direction of this thread.
the yakima rack with a rolling tonneau is exactly what i need. i have had a few emails back and forth with yakima and retrax. i need to get in touch with rugged ridge to see what they have in store.
yakima did a bunch of stress...
