You might be able to dial it in since you are not lifted much and can afford to lose some caster.
Please update with your progress so we can see the threshold of what can be done with the 2024+ trucks.
Probably should reach out to 4x4Posilock and make them aware there is yet another need for...
You technically don't have the FAD actuator even though you have some of the hardware....24+ trucks it has been deleted.
There are threads all over the forum with possible solutions, however with a large part of the info being incorrect.....Consume carefully.
Is your rig lifted? If so how...
My official stance is:
All adjustable control arms every time so that thrust angle, wheelbase, and axle rotation can be adjusted for optimal results in the best balance of caster, pinion angle and vertical wheel travel. Pinion angle can only be a factor of the best balance it can be adjusted...
Isn't it crazy how hard it is for some to grasp this concept? So much argument to the contrary, but facts will still be facts?
Same goes with offsetting caster side to side.......It's all welded together on a beam style axle, so no "Twisting" will magically take place without breaking something!
Keep in mind that this vibration isn't an issue until the end user puts everything out of it's designed parameters? From a budgeting/cost cutting standpoint it's brilliant!!!???
Do I want a JT without the FAD? No thanks!
You are simply incorrect sir.........XJ's, TJ's, WJ's, WK's and JK's have the same vibration issue once they have been lifted beyond a certain point and then driveline speed when gears are swapped out to 5.13's/5.38's amplifies it. TJ Rubi's with the D44 are worse than the D30 equipped vehicles...
Ya, my Peterbilt with the divider axle deleted and cardan shafts didn't virate either. 🤦♂️ That's about as relevant to this conversation as talking about a TJ huh?
Actually removing the Rzeppa OE shaft and swapping the double cardan replacement shaft makes the condition worse? Especially if the joint's size is "Upgraded" to a 1350 or 1410 since the shaft speed oscillations are worse as the joint cross gets wider and I suspect the tube flexes. You see, the...
Wonder what King "Off the shelf internals" look like?
I had a set of JT EvoSpec'd King 2.5's apart a couple months back and found the pistons be linear, but with digressive adapters on the rebound side? The truck wobbled nonstop since the install, but he just learned in his words "to drive...
You didn't comprehend the problem is with the vibration that is caused by the driveline constantly turning at high speeds after a suspension lift......NOT THE FAD itself. What you have suggested it to delete an existing FAD which is the problem the 2024+ JT's now have from the factory as they...
Pass.........UNLESS you have a rig without the FAD and lifted it too much?
The 2024+ guys who have already reported vibrations after lifting will definitely be thankful for this mod though. I'm surprised (or not) that it took so much parts swapping to figure out the source of the vibration...
You can fit 37x12.50's under a Rubicon/Mojave fender no lift with 5.7-4.75 BS 8.5" wheels and maybe just a tiny bit of bump stop spacing......You do give up some up travel, so I like to do at least 2" lift up front for a good balance of low CG and go fast performance.
The bumper might be in...
One could also argue that while the fronts "Bolt on" and are listed as fitting both the JT and JL, the vehicles are so much different in weight, wheelbase, and spring rates that they just don't work great out of the box anyway?
I fixed it for ya!
Then I will add the shock being mounted before the axle JT vs after the axle JL. The same shock on the JT will have less effective compression/ possibly more rebound because of the way the axle swings fore/aft. Then add in the JT and JL have different control arm geometry...
