Got my Rock Hard 4x4 sliders installed! Very happy with how they look, and having the downward angle makes it much easier to get in and out of the Jeep. As others have mentioned, they are rock solid and very well made.
Here's some pics so hopefully it helps others to decide whether to go for...
lol... love the Yoda meme.
This morning I started installing them but got freaked out so I quit. lol....
As I was removing the front passenger side body mount bolt (very slowly using a breaker bar) I kept hearing a cracking noise. Turn after turn I kept hearing the cracking, and it wasn't...
Yep, my thought process was the same. I got the angled down version so my family and I could use it as a step while having it serve as protection for the Jeep when offroading.
My set should get here sometime this week so excited to get them.
I gave up on ROAM. Sent them an email almost 2 weeks ago to find out when their JT rock rails were coming out, and got zero response.
If a company can't reply to a simple email (even an auto-reply saying it will be a bit before they can get back)... that's not a company I want to do business...
I'm getting this installed early next week. So I'll post some before/after pics when done and share how it rides. Right now I have stock coils/shocks so it will be a good comparison...
Option 1 is my vote. I prefer easy :-)
Also it just makes sense that the heater is based off a temperature sensor, and that it turns on when the headlights are on (when the temperature sensor threshold is met)
Does anyone have the Road Armor Stealth running boards installed (here)?
If so, would love to see pics of what they look like on your Jeep.
Also, was wondering if you've had any issues with rust, and if they actually provide some protection when offroading.
(I know they are body mounted, and...
Thanks Rick. One thing I did do which helped me find this deal was I started searching the inventory of all local Jeep dealers in my area direct on their website.
I was originally just searching Cars.com/Autotrader, but not finding great deals. The dealer I went through doesn't publish their...
On Thursday my wife and I bought a Sport with Max Tow. The MSRP was $46,405, and we got it for $37,302.
If I did my math right, that's 19.62% below MSRP (which I think is a pretty good deal).
Thanks for the feedback @Alabama Mud Machine . I'll have to look into the Alloy kit. Also...
You mentioned "some bags for the rear to prevent it from squatting." I have a lot to learn :-) so not sure what "bags" are.
Could you share what that is, and maybe an example you might recommend...
@Phljeeper That's great feedback, I appreciate it! This is my first truck that's capable of towing, so maybe that's good since I have nothing to compare it too. :-)
thanks again man!
So my wife and I bought a Sport with Max Tow on Thursday (still super excited)...
We're looking at getting the Mopar 2" performance suspension lift, and running 35's... but I'm just concerned what kind of effect that will have on towing.
We plan on towing up to around 5,000 pounds.
For those...
