Went for a hike at Antietam and came back to being parked next to a TJ (I believe as I'm not an expert on all the models). So if it's a TJ and I"m a JT are we a palindrome ?
My apologies in advance as in this aspect I feel like a total newbie. Ok, details: 2020 JTR with the Cargo Management Group Truck Bed 115–Volt AC Outlet AND a new (loving it!) Dometic CFX3 75 DX frig/freezer. In less than two weeks (finally!) will be moving to just outside Boulder, CO. Trip...
LOL...no worries, I do that all the time (and my wife hates it when I forget her name :surprised:). Yes,all our university aged kids are going to have a rough time this next year and we'll have to be cognizant of their unique challenges. When things settle down and you get out to Boulder...
Well, you can go through Gambril State Park as the gate is finally unlocked but it's still just a road. But I was climbing the walls waiting to leave for Colorado so I found the only rock around here to climb...not much but better than a kick in the you know what's.
Went over a nice log but...
Again, don't know...it was how I built it...he (the salesman) asked how I wanted it and I said just the hard top (of course with all the other options I wanted).
LOL, spoiled more like it (many mid-life crises!) I certainly understand out of warranty...the Macan was at 69K miles and would have needed a timing belt change...no, I'll spend my cash on some fun...oh, wait, I did
Exactly...I traded in a Porsche Macan though a V6 was turbo'd. And before that, a Mercedes E 550 boost to 550hp. If you think ice cream, both of those were a very nice vanilla, my JTR is Rocky Road! It was not bought to be a speed demon nor expected to, but after lifting 2.5", adding 37's"...
Thanks so much for the comparisons. Definitely going with RSI SmartCap. After that's on and with the BlackRhino wheels and a new skottel and my potjie, my American Jeep will be a hella of lot South African! Just need to make some pap and wors on the trail now now!
Keep me in the loop also as I will be settling there the 1st week of June. Of course social distancing would need to be maintained but that should be fairly easy unless we need to test out a winch or two :surprised:
Nothing directly to DawgBox, but got a Dometic CFX 3 75 DZ. Dawg simple to set up and is busy keeping the beerskies nice and cold! Testing for the next 3 weeks and off to CO with breakfast burritos, some nice sammies, roasted chicken legs and maybe some Marco meals from OverlandDX :like: Now...
Absolutely...need the badges...looks like this weekend is also out as the boss scheduled some other things she (which mean me) wants to do...guess that'll give me the time next week to really complete the 500 mile break in. Now, how does one break in the front diff if you only use your 4H off...
Glad to hear DawgBox will have company in Ned...we move out there from MD on the 30th. Looking forward to enjoying some real trails soon! May have to look into the Mile High Jeep Club too!
