So true LOL
Since I haven't even left the house, I'll post a driveway pic. Since the Jeep is black, I'm not 100% sold on the textured look of the tail lights.....seriously thinking about wrapping in some 3M Carbon Fiber that I have here (which would at least have some gloss) or get some...
Installed Combat Offroad Tail Gunners.....love the appearance and fit! They will need about 1/8" of gasket around them to make them weathertight against the body, though.
Finished up the MetalCloak Leveling Kit today. Of course that was necessary since last week I installed their Frame Built front bumper and placed a 12k Badland winch in it. The leveling kit included 2.5" dual rate springs, adjustable upper control arms, adjustable front track bar, and I added...
Got rid of the stock front bumper and replaced with a MetalCloak frame-built unit....needed something to bolt the Badland 12k winch to. Have the MC leveling kit w/red Rocksport shocks staged in the garage to do this week to account for the extra weight of the bumper/winch.
Did you get 'em yet? Mine arrived today, so I had to get them fitted onto my Rubicon. Method 703 -12, Falken AT/4W's in 35x11.50. Definitely love that little bit of poke.
I will definitely check out Matrimony Spring! Seems like a place that would draw us back year after year. My wife and I said our vows way up in Yankee Boy Basin (Ouray, Co) in 2020......the mountains and red rocks keep calling us back year after year ?
You guys rock! There is so much good info and recommendations. I would get a kick outta visiting Rory's shop.....have seen a boatload of the recovery vids (and definitely do not want to star in one lol). Dead Horse Point is a must. Last August we did Chicken Corners in a rental Wrangler...
Leaving the Indianapolis are on Friday (5/10) for a trip to Utah. I'd estimate that we'll cover almost 4k miles on the trip and visit the Mighty 5 in Utah. We'll spend the first week in Moab playing on the trails and visiting the first two parks (Arches and Canyonlands) then drive further...
I was wondering if you ever do group buys here? I am ready to purchase a steel (3 pc) bumper and like everyone else is trying to get the best price out there. Thanks for everything you do here on the forum!
I have a Rubicon with the premium Alpine system. Only thing I've done so far is the Terra Acoustics front soundstage speakers. Even with everything else being 100% stock, that one change made a huge difference in the volume levels that you mentioned.
The actual bottleneck is the valve stem....OEM stems do not flow much volume. I use the MorrFlate hose system along with the NAPA compressor ($125, 10.6cfm) and take my 10psi 33's to 36psi in <7 minutes.
