There are many myths in the Jeep world. I refer to it as Jeeptelligence. Sometimes I just stand and list to a group of Jeeptards spouting off all their Jeeptelligence and just smile. There's a reason they make people go to college to be engineers.
I'm not calling you a liar. I just don't see how regearing has increased your fuel mileage on the road. I see your RPMs at each speed in 8th gear with 5.13s, and those numbers are pretty close to my RPMs in 6th gear with 4.10s. In 7th gear, my RPMs are lower than your 8th gear RPMs. I...
Ahh, I'm not sure why anyone would want to swap out an Overland "suspension" for a Rubicon "suspension". I think the amount of lift you would get is miniscule, and the only real benefit would be the shocks. Even those are marginal, and unless someone gave you the takeoff Rubicon suspension for...
How much did you pay to have them powder coated? I'm just not sure I want to add powder coat to a part that is made to withstand rocks and be easily replaced.
The oem mount, which completely replaces the stock mirror in the vehicle, makes it very difficult to steal. Stealing it would be as difficult as stealing the stock mirror out of the vehicle.
Mine is a Franken-Lift too, and I love it. The big difference is that I used shock extensions on my stock Mojave shocks. Eventually, I will become a real boy and will get longer shocks. I am just very apprehensive because of how good it rides now, even with the tires at 40psi.
I really like where you put the rear camera. I may move mine. I plan on mounting a basket or rack on top of my bed rack, which would make it not stick out like a sore thumb, but if I don't do that, putting it in the tailgate handle is a great idea.
I ordered their JL-LMB light brackets from them last year, and I never could get them to respond to my requests about a discount. Fortunately, the item I was only $130. It was actually one of the first mods I did to my Gladiator, and it isn't even installed any more. I've spent thousands of...
Thank goodness my local Jeep dealer (2 miles from my house) doesn't seem to treat me any differently than someone who bought the vehicle from them. I'd hate to have to drive 32 miles to the dealer where I bought mine.
