Hi everyone!
Documenting here my JTR build for triple sport purposes for my family and I in Dubai (weekday 3-kid commute truck, weekend family camper, and big trip Overlander). I know I’m asking a lot of one vehicle, but hey - no harm trying. Starting off with a Launch Edition JTR with lots of...
Hey everyone...wanted to get some thoughts on getting the optimal bed set-up as we Overland. Goal is to compliment the iKamper RTT (with bedding, sleeping bags, blankets and pillows within), the two tables mounted under the RTT, the toilet awning on one side, and the tools under the rear seat to...
Oh man - I went through this same exercise these past two weeks:
Wanted the new Dometic 75 or 95 or 100 fridges (dealer is a buddy) but too tall
my ARB 47 Classic 1 is too tall so sold that
the Element is too tall if you want to mount it on a slide which is something I wanted
so: ended up...
Rack is being testing this weekend...I know the "humongous" iKamper isn't appealing to the eye but this is a test, and we are a family of 5 so wife + 3 kids (8, 5 and 2) sleep in the tent, while I have a mesh low bed thing I'll put in the bed below and sleep on it. Kinda perfect combo for the...
Thanks man - appreciate it. I definitely think the same...the corners are the strongest points, and the time/effort saved from missing that corner vs. the gain/strength/length generates doesn't make sense!

Love the 8274...only winch I have on my rigs! I've restored an old 8274 and same route as you...would recommend an Albright contractor and the Gigglepin end plate for ridgity if you need to replace the end plate anyways...
Emailed Long Range last week and they said that until the Gladiator makes it to the Australian market, they can't create one for it...but since Australia is to be the 2nd biggest market for the Gladiator I guess it may be only a matter of time...
Thanks! No, I actually failed Mech Eng back in undergrad :)...but I've built several vehicles in different forms/functions (Dual Purpose 110 on 37s, Overlanding Discovery 2 door, older Disco truggied on 42s, etc...)
Most experience was a full on Defender truggy with only around 4' left in the...
An update from my end...we went from sketch to initial CAD and now did the measurements to finalize the CAD and cut in 3mm for all plate work and 42mm x 2.8mm which tube for the rest. Should be 100% bolt on and in 5 pieces
