  1. Any DIESEL owners running PPE's transmission pan?

I have the PPE pan on my JT. I have stock skid plates. No issues with the install and no issue with the OEM skids. Not sure how after market skid plates would interfere with the PPE pan as the exhaust would be between skid plates and PPE pan. I have the 3.6.
  2. How to secure carrier while tightening ring gear bolts?

I've used my shop press for years to hold the carrier and tighten the ring gear bolts. You can put quite a bit of pressure on the carrier without problems. If the press is not mounted to the floor you may have to hold it while you torque the bolts. I've done this with my Dana 60/14-bolt in my...
  3. Shock replacement

You can use shock extensions but the Factory Fox shocks may not have enough travel to take advantage of your lift. Your shocks may become the "limiting strap" when you fully extend the suspension which could eventually lead to the shock failing. Depends on how you plan to drive your Jeep.
  4. PSC steering question

Google AI response: JIC (Joint Industries Council) fittings are designed for general industrial use and have looser manufacturing tolerances, while AN (Army-Navy) fittings are made to stricter military specifications for high-performance applications, particularly in aerospace and military...
  5. PSC steering question

I believe they are both 37 degree fittings. I do not know there is a real difference between the two. PSC calls them AN.
  6. Clayton Lift Installed…Vibrations?

The rear two piece driveshaft differential pinion is set differently, (pinion angles), than a one piece drive shaft. I would start with the pinion angles and double check the pinion angles. With the FAD disconnected the front drive shaft does not turn, only the stub shafts and side gears. If...
  7. Thoughts on having dedicated street and trail tires

Unless you really like changing tires and do not off road frequently and are running very expensive sticky tires I would recommend picking a tire and putting that on. I've seen friends that went through the street tire/trail tire swap and invariably they get tired of the hassle and the lack of...
  8. Carrier Bearing Spacer?

I used this with JTR Clayton 2.5" lift. Very easy to install if you have three hands, a little more difficult chasing the first bolt hole with 2 hands. Be sure you set the pinion angle correctly. The pinion angle on a two piece drive is set up differently than on a one piece drive shaft...
  9. Tennessee WTB - 4.10 Mojave Takeoffs

I have a set up JTR 4.10's with about 16K miles on them. I re-geared to 5.13's when I went with 37's. I have them boxed in the Spicer 5.13 boxes. I'm in Houston. If you are interested let me know.
  10. Transmission Fluid: Clarification Needed

From 2023 JT Service Manual: The first part number is Mopar the second is a global part number. ♦8HP50 9.5 Quarts/ 9 Liters Use only Mopar ZF 8&9 Speed ATF Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent. Failure to use the correct fluid may affect the function or...
  11. What would cause this with 4 low?

My understanding, and it is not detailed as I have not directly dealt with this issue, is when the computer senses an issue with the locker position indicator, it will automatically disable certain functions, such as disable use of the lockers, I do not know if it disables the sway bar...
  12. What would cause this with 4 low?

I have heard that your error message is associated to the lockers, especially the locker position indication. If it is the lockers your symptoms sort of make sense. That is assuming your Gladiator is a Rubicon. Are your lockers engaging?
  13. Mopar lift question about rear brake lines?

I have a Clayton 2.5 inch lift and had to replace my fronts because they were over extended. There are two considerations, the amount of lift but also the amount articulation the changes in the suspension allow. Some kits allow more articulation than others based on he components in the kit...
  14. I need help finding the correct fuel line part number

1 - Fuel Supply and Return Lines 2 - Fuel Tank Purge Line Looks like the purge line, marked #2. The other 2 lines marked "#1" are fuel Supply and Return From 2023 Gladiator Alldata service manual.
  15. 3.6 Codes issue & diagnoses

Did you have this problem before you changed plugs and coil packs? If not, I would think about looking there. I am personally acquainted with people, (2), that "upgraded" the coil packs to aftermarket ones and soon developed misfire issues. The OEM coil packs are very difficult to improve on...
  16. Anyone else use this ATF in their Gladiator 8-speed?

Box says it meets the ZF Lifeguard 6 and 8 spec. I used Redline D6 when I changed my transmission fluid. I believe when an auto manufacturer says "life time fill/fluid" they are referring to the life time of the warranty. ZF recommends the fluid be changed around 65K kilometers.
  17. Oil leaking, not the oil filter housing, dripping down starter onto drive shaft

You might want to check the valve cover gaskets. Especially if the leak is manifested on one side of the engine. They frequently drip off the rear outboard corner of the valve cover. I would rule out the PCV valve since it is mounted on the passenger side. Rear main is usually limited to oil...
  18. 2022 JTR Factory Stock Fox Shocks Alternative

Bilstein B8 8100 DSA. I put 4 on, (2023 JT Rubicon), when I put on a Clayton 2.5" lift. They are great shocks and ride great. They are adjustable for high and low speed compression. I have 4 fox 2.0 reservoir shocks on my JK and I am not happy with them. One is leaking now. I'm planning...
