Just personal opinion but I do think the long wheelbase looks and works better with more lift.(on rocks at least) I am going 3.5 Game Changer and 37s. I may change springs eventually to 4 or 5. Whatever you go with definitely want adjustable control arms ETC.

Price does look good. I'd probably just jeep an eye on them for corrosion and touch up as needed.

Ahhh I see they look like there is no way to offroad hard without serious damage to those steps. Or at least it would be hard.

At the JL prices listed I'd say these are very competitive with similar protection. Look at EVO, Metalcloak and LOD. Prices are similar. One good crease in your body from a bent or buckled rockslider and you'll be happy you spent the extra few bucks. IMO
