First off let me say I'm sorry this happened to you and im glad you are not injured other than the damage to your Gladiator which held up very well especially compared to the car. This is the reason my wife and I made the decision about 15 years ago to move away from any large city and out to a...
Yeah my first thought as well but OP said the Rockhards are out of his comfort range. RSE at almost double that probably not going to work in this situation.
I have zero experience with AEV stuff but a lot of folks really like them. Might want to have a look at the sister site for Wranglers as there are a crap ton more of them on the road so there's a lot more experience with different equipment.
I can't really add anything to Whysos response other than personally I've ordered a 3.5 Metalcloak Game changer but I'll be running 37s and enjoy rock crawling. I'd suggest calling Metalcloak and Clayton, maybe Teraflex and or a couple of others and picking their brains. That's what helped me...
Hey Captain what is the end goal? You talked about towing but what about anticipated offroad? Will this be a rock crawler or a mall crawler? What size tires are you planning? Or are you building a overlanding rig? There are some great sales for black friday this week but it's better to buy once...
Seriously whatever yall can conclude whatever going back and forth over manually shifting and engine blowby the reality is OP has to have some of the worst luck out of anyone as far as vehicles go and I have to give him credit for not throwing in the towel and buying a Toyota or Honda. One thing...
My understanding and I could easily be incorrect but for rock crawling your better off going with control arms opposed to the drop bracket. Most of the aftermarket control arms will offer better flex while the drop bracket will probably provide a smoother on road ride.
Not being able to hear the radio I read somewhere about a splice that can hook into front left speaker so gmrs radio comes through that but does not affect stereo sound at all. I'll see if I can remember where I read about it. I'm planning on installing the MXT275 but have the same problem...
Yes they have a cutout (sort of ) for the factory rubi rails which both Mojave and Rubicons have from the factory. I can tell you I removed my rock rails and put on a set of nerf bars with side steps and there's no issues. The cutout is molded into the shape of the Weathertech splash guards I...
I have a Rubicon but took off the factory rails and replaced them with nerf bars with steps and Weathertechs work fine. I'd be surprised to hear of any step or rock rail they won't work with.
Definitely a recommendation for the Weathertech mudflaps. They keep the side of your Jeep clean and they will take severe abuse and hold up great. Dropped off a ledge a couple weeks ago hard right onto them figured I'd ripped them off but other than a scrape and rash they held up great. honestly...
I just ordered my 3.5 Gamechanger but opted for no shocks as the new shocks aren't scheduled to be releases till the end of the month but I wanted to takeadvantage of Veterans day sale. I'll evaluate then whether to get the new fancy shocks or get the well known rocksports.
Call Metalcloak they actually have a human answer the phone and he is extremely helpful. 916-631-8071 I had a very helpful conversation and have reached out via email as well with probably annoying questions but they have always been friendly and helpful. Honestly can't say enough good things...
