  1. Diagnosing ABS on 04 WJ and other WJ stuff.......

. Agreed, throwing parts at anything is a recipe for disaster and frustration. Brakes are relatively inexpensive and replacing only improves the daily use anyway so you get benefits from it. I'd cough up the diag fee to see where you need to head.
  2. Can I Go Off Road With Stock Axels And 37s?

You can break stock axles with stock size wheels/tires. All depends on how you're using it, what you tell your right foot you need and knowing when to back off and what lines to takes. Basically, use common sense and logic and you'll be fine. Plenty of people beating the hell out of stock axles...
  3. Diagnosing ABS on 04 WJ and other WJ stuff.......

I asked my Dad who worked with Chrysler for years and knows Jeeps better than most. Said he would be shocked if it wasn't a sensor or the control unit. Pure speculation but he said they had a recall on certain years control units. Relatively inexpensive for rebuilt ones but Id want to learn the...
  4. Diagnosing ABS on 04 WJ and other WJ stuff.......

Hear you on all accounts! You may want to see what a drop out axle assembly would be. May be worth swaping a whole axle assembly to resolve some of the other issues you have and D35s are pretty inexpensive. Disconnect everything, drop axle and install new one. No more spring pad issue, bump...
  5. Diagnosing ABS on 04 WJ and other WJ stuff.......

Removing a rear axle and seal isn't rocket science, especially if you know your way around the Jeep, which sounds like you do. Is it a Dana 35 or 44? Your biggest challenge will be any corrosion making bolts hard to remove. Other than that, knowing how to rebuild brake shoes, its an easy...
  6. 3.6 in ram versus jeep

The only intake system that MAY result in benefits is a snorkel type with a more direct, smooth intake tube. Snorkels bring outside cooler air which CAN lead to power increase. I wouldn't put my money on it however. You still need to get more air out
  7. Mojave MPG Concerning

Id give it to atleast 1500+ miles to even watch MPG Also, forget about the cluster and hand calculate.
  8. Ceramic Coating

Do yourself a favor and follow a few in this thread. Avoid spray "ceramics" as a coating, its not. A true ceramic coating is very easy to do and is a great experience with a very rewarding result Buy a Porter Cable Dual Action polisher kit, with pads. $150 or so Bottle of Meguiars Ultimate...
  9. Dealer kept factory parts?

Maybe Im missing something with the value of the Mopar crate. Ill give it to someone if they come pick it up. I don't have room for it in my current living situation. Otherwise it'll be broken down and recycled
  10. Buying a gladiator in two weeks, still cant decide on the trim package ... Thoughts?

I custom ordered a loaded JLUR last year. That Jeep lasted 5 months before I dumped it. The sticker price on my JLUR was more than my wife's high trim Audi Q5, thats just insane for a Jeep. I don't have the luxury of off-roading much down here in the swamp so the Rubicon needs aren't there for...
  11. Why did everyone decide their trim level (sport vs rubicon etc)?

I had the JLUR last year and for what I need, is overkill. Ended up getting a well equipped Sport S $46k tag, for $300/mth 24 month lease, 10k miles, $1300 down. Mopar lift, 37s going on with rubicon flares. May regear down the road. While Id love a Rubicon, this is my daily to my 2015 911, so...
  12. Florida SOLD

    PM sent. Local
  13. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

I had 37s on my JLUR down here as well, very manageable. Looks great again
  14. Help me replace my Mopar 2”

Don't have any experience, which I realized you asked for, but why not add better control arms to you're existing lift and keep 37s? I can't see much advantage 38s and more height will give you in Moab. In my opinion, Id start with better control arms and see how it performs. I think you'll be...
  15. Gladiators on Mopar 2" Lift Kit

Looks great! Im going a very similar approach with my gator sport, Mopar lift, .75" spacer front/rear, JKS trackbar, 17 Abrams and 37" Toyo. How are the 37s and 373s?
  16. Gladiator bent frame offroading with trailer? Why do you think this happened?

Its all speculation but having shocks that are too long will cause issues just like this. I don't think, however, one can draw that conclusion on this specific example without being apart of said event. But, anyone can obviously see how pulling a trailer off-road at speed can cause this...
  17. Highway Road Noise - 35s - BFG, NITTO, TOYO

Had Toyo RTs on my JLUR and putting them on my JT. Ive had BFG, Nitto, Goodyear MTR, Coopr SST Pros, Yokohama Geolander G003 on my recent LJR were also fantastic, etc... BFGs are the worst in my opinion. Way to noisy for an AT and the old KMs were pure garbage. Don't know how people love them so...
  18. adjustable track bar - Really needed with only 2" lift

We are talking a $250-$300 part on a $40k+ vehicle. This is a no brainer.
  19. Im sorry. 35's vs 37's on sport S max tow with mopar 2" lift

You will get a wide range of responses here. I had a JLUR on 37s down here in south Florida. It’s was more than livable. I never considered a regear. That love affair ended quickly about 4/5 months after its purchase. A year later, I just leases with plans to buyout a gladiator sport s, with...
  20. GATOR Gladiator JT Club

Cleaned it up today, did a decon wash and some spray sealant which I don’t love but it’s temporary. Wheels tires and lift this next week. Really enjoying the JT or the JLUR I had
