Oh boy, here is another sacrilegious move by me for my Max Tow… will be looking more like the Rubicon, bought New Rubicon fenders and still haven’t put the Rubicon hood vents on.
So is it to be a Rubicon soon… he’ll no, it’s a Max Tow built the way I want it for less money than the Rubicon with...
I have done a few more fall mods to Hookster and I still have a bunch of stuff to finish.
So, here it is with the voyager soft top and steel tube doors.
The Yokohama Geolander is no doubt a great tire, traction is similar to the BFG AT IMOP. I had them in a heavy 1 ton so mileage comparison is not a good example of mileage duration but mine got 40,000 before they were finished with duty
every Jeep I’ve had the BFG KTO 35”including them on my 1...
I have 37’s BfG AT KO 2’s about 36” es tall. With 3.5” Clayton overland lift and Falcon 3 shocks mine would fit in garage (just barely) without the RTT.
I know so many hate the BfG AT KO’s but I’ve used them for years on rigs that see a lot of road driving (my JT has 98,000 miles on the clock)...
Hello, I have the Clayton Overland 3.5” with Falcon 3 adjustable reservoir shocks and steering stabilizer. I’m
Hello, I went with Clayton Overland 3.5 with Tereflex Falcon 3 adjustable shocks and stabilizer, Currie drag link, track bar and tie Rod. Tereflex ball joints. I have 4:10’s factory...
I loved my stock JT I bought in October of 2019… but what I put it through in the last 3+ years, it’s on its 2nd lift and 37’s with 94,000 miles. Stock is great but as you live with it, most of us end up building the JT into what we use it for.
Okay this should make some happy on here now… no more “Max Tow” on my hood! Was a good run though. Now it is named after my wife’s nickname for me… since HS.
I have had many Jeeps and have lifted every one of them to install bigger tires. Some of these Jeeps were dedicated for off road, not a daily driver. Others were daily drivers.
I have owned a 2020 Max Tow packaged JT since October of 2019. I drove it in stock form until the stock small 245 tires...
I back up the K R rack as well. I also have headache rack/mole panel as well as side mount bike racks with Yakima mounts attached so that I did not have to remove wheels. The new JCR rack adds a rear above tailgate hatch that lifts as well as the sides that can lift as well. So when the tailgate...
Oh look, it’s almost a convertible… right? They painted the roof black. Maybe they’ll have a special edition with a vinyl hard top roof… I’d have to buy one then… ? NOT
No, it’s not even close to a JT competitor, now Ford May soon have an answer to your competition threads very soon.
Until...
About to do, install Rubicon Vents on to my Sport Hood… OH THE HORROR! ?
All The Rubi owners will be so upset, a sport JT with Rubicon Hood Vents (install to come soon)! ?
like i said before, my JT identifies as a Rubicon… only better.
Also check to be sure the drain plug on your floor mats up front haven’t come off. If you have rubber Jeep floor mats they will take the drain plugs out of the hole in the carpet and metal floor, then snap them into the rubber floor mat when they install them. Your foot can knock those out or...
93,000 miles and no issues. I have taken it mildly off road out west, and thousands of miles on the Interstate. I have 55,000 miles on my BFG AT KOs with half of the tread left.
Take it back to your gear mechanic. Have them look for metal shavings in your differentials. The popping IS NOT normal. You have a loose track bar, or sway bar connects etc. have some one get in and steer back and forth, bouncy the back end by standing in tailgate and you listening underneath…...
The max tow with 4:10’s and those tiny tires suck, make the transmission downshift hard and act a bit clunky in traffic especially. I think it’s the computer trying to figure out what gear to be in and with low gear ratio and small tires first gear is a jump to second gear. So in traffic 1st and...
