That is awesome, we just finished a month out west leaving from Wisconsin and returning to TN on our trip. We also hit Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. I am positive I saw your truck and airstream several times on our trip. We were also in Cedar City Utah and that is where my girlfriend nearly killed...
Absolutely love our RTT! Pull into camp late at night, pop 4 latches and up it goes! Bed is already made, 3” es of memory foam, off the ground. Hard shell top and bottom make for a much quieter tent in the wind.
And… if you put a nighttime potty up there… well you get plenty of kisses like this!
BFG AT KO’s! I have had them on many daily drivers/weekend warriors.
I have d load range 37’s on my JT now. I’ve put almost 40,000 miles on them in 10 months. I’ve been off road on road, rocks, sand, mud (not the best mud tire). Love them and will buy another set.
I’ve have close to 90,000 miles on my JT Max Tow. 3.5” lift with 37” BFG ATKOs. I’ve owned many Jeeps with lockers including a JKU Rubicon 2016.
Honestly, unless you are doing some serious rock crawling you don’t need lockers on the JT. Long wheel base, limited slip in rear axle, traction...
So, this is my experience with the JT as used for truck stuff and overland travel.
first specs: mine has a 3.5” lift of the Rubicon Express with their shocks. Faulty basic with a $1600 dollar cost… not for me, this is too light duty for a RT that sees townibgbyo max capacity as well as bed load...
Modern computerized traction control is amazing and honestly does a better job in most cases than having a locker. Example a front locker engaged makes it very difficult to steer off road. Another example, my rubicon JKU HR often had trouble with the lock ring failure. This is a $900+ dollar...
Still perfecting, but love this setup. The James Baroud RTT is really nice and comfortable and very quiet even with heavy wind.
I need to redo the suspension (need overland HD rear springs and just a better all around suspension for a truck… as I use it for that. I have Rubicon Express 3.5” lift...
Welcome, and nice Jeep JT btw. I had Rubicon 2016 JKU before my JT Max Tow Package I bought 10/2019. I love the JT more than any other Jeep I’ve had and I’ve owned a lot of Jeeps. I have 80+ thousand miles on the OD of my current JT. I use it like a truck (I’ve previously always had three...
Mine is surprisingly fast unloaded with 37’s and 3.5” lift.
Mine is a May 2019 build Max Tow. I have 80,000 miles on it and I’ve been very impressed with heavy towing(close to 8000#s) and daily driving. Still has the stock 4:10’s. You do need to let her run higher rpm’s and towing I use the...
Sure sounds great, Jeep the “crazy girlfriend “. I look at yota trucks like this… plain Jane exterior, meth addict on the hidden interior (nothing like a rotted frame on a truck that is from the South). When she smiles she’s missing teeth! ?
just go set your Yota truck and take a nice drive...
It doesn’t have a stiffer ride, it drives very well. 4:10 gears and wider axles are a huge plus. The MT tows very well up to 7000+ pounds with the 8 speed auto. Yes you will se decreased MPG but that is expected. I ran 37” BFG ATs no spacers with no rub on the road 33’s no problem, even 35s if...
78,000 trouble free miles so far and I use my JT as a truck (read: I am not easy on it).
I’ve owned Toyota trucks and cars, they are good But they still have their issues like any other vehicle.
I can tell you for a fact that no Toyota truck would be doing what I’ve done with my 2020...

I hauled 7000 lbs of trailer with my Woman’s 2 bedroom apartment contents 600 miles. Got 10 mpg in heavy wind at 70 mph on interstate (until springs sagged to the stock bump stops and slowed to 55mph and got 12 mpg… had to take off the 2” RE bump stop extensions, because no room for them when...
Well, for me maybe Quadratec just sucks.? I can’t tell if the Oracle lights suck because 8months later Quadratec still hasn’t made sure Oracle shipped them. I’ve called emailed Quadratec and emailed Oracle. I have Oracle LED headlights and have no issues.
I don’t have these tail lights after 8...
