  1. Gladiator vs Gladiator

Of course you did… here I’ll shorten it for you. mojave ? one locker what’s the point?
  2. Gladiator vs Gladiator

On the contrary Sir… the Max Tow crowd are probably the smartest and wisest enthusiast purchasers of the Gladiator. Let’s think about this “Rubicon “ vs “Mojave” vs “THE MAX TOW! ? Max Tow has the -wide axles the rubicon has -4:10 gears just as the rubicon - bigger brakes than the standard...
  3. Gladiator vs Gladiator

All of the gladiators have very effective traction control so… lockers not so necessary anymore. Mine on 37’s 3,5” lift, limited slipped Max Tow and I hardly use 4x4. I’ve had a rubicon and plenty of trucks and Jeeps with lockers. My Rubicons always had issues with the lockers. Unless you’re...
  4. Death wobble? Steering wheel shakes

Check the trac-bar at the axle. Most of the time it is because this is loose. Sure balancing tires, alignment… “steering stabilizer “? will fix it until they go out of balance, out of alignment and the stabilizer gives up after trying to control the front end from shaking back and forth. many…...
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I said the same thing! Love the stock look! ??
  6. Bed Rack, Roof Rack, and RTT Recommendations Please

hello, no issues at all with articulation. I road traveled and mild dirt roads with washboards in Michigan without issue. I drove thousands of miles like this. Later I had the RTT up there with same configuration. I did slide it back after getting a new Bed rack and even with moderate to...
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

just had mine installed, Clayton Overland 3.5” lift with Tereflex SP2 3.3 fast adjust piggy back shocks. The ride and height is fantastic! Also added winch and front bumper.
  8. 2020 HOOKSTER ?

Couple of new pictures. Drove it today for the first time and Clayton has it right. The Overland 3.5” lift with Falcon Shocks is incredible!
  9. Help me make up my mind

IMOP, I’ve owned 20 Jeeps many with lockers including a 2016 Rubicon JKU. Unless you are doing some serious rock crawling you do not need to waste money on lockers. Also IMOP after many issues with factory Jeep lockers, I would buy aftermarket (ARB lockers) anyway. this is why I bought my...
  10. 2020 HOOKSTER ?

Well, I am still out of town and the JT has a new 3.5” lift (Clayton Overland with falcon shocks) new bumper and winch. Tomorrow parts for RTT lift to change hard top to soft top and back should be in tomorrow. TN Off Road put a pic on FB today. Will have to do until I get back home to see ?ster...
  11. 2020 HOOKSTER ?

So… ? … a lot has happened! I lost my job in May, suddenly fired for reasons I won’t discuss on here. They had nothing to do with my job performance. I decided, screw it I’m taking the summer off (I have money saved up and after the crazy year needed to stop and think for a while). I have been...
  12. Gladiator Expedition Rigs

Thanks! Always loved the size, low profile hard shell, ability to leave bed made with pillows, ladder also fits under the mattress, ease of the open and close a hard shell offers (under 1 min. Open and 2 min close) and the straight room up vs the triangle open style most hard shells offer, open...
  13. Gladiator Expedition Rigs

Love memory foam mattress, but I haven’t camped in sub 30*F weather. love my set up for overlanding, except not happy with the 3” RE lift. Not Rubicon Express’s fault. Too much weight towing and hauling this summer proved rear shocks get overworked and springs are too light duty for an...
  14. How reliable has your gladiator been?

93,000 miles and only issues have been 1- replaced steering box under warranty 2- passenger door open stop plastic piece broke. Replaced under warranty. 3- once on 4000 mile out west trip on 104+* F temps the AC stopped working (yes even on “auto “ setting). Pulled front grill and cleaned it...
  15. BFG K02 versus Nitto Ridge Grappler

you can see I always have at least 350lbs in the bed with RTT (250lbs) and JCR full height rack at about 70 lbs. Sure in the wet and the snow I can break traction if I get on the “GO” pedal (yes 4:10’s and KO 37’s, 3” lift and my V-6 with 90 + thousand miles has plenty of power). You still...
  16. BFG K02 versus Nitto Ridge Grappler

Yup not a comparison with KM3s, those are mud tires, better than an MT though. I just drove almost 4000 miles on 37” KO2’s and they are quiet (they have 40,000 miles on them and are still quiet, only rotated them one time after 34,000 miles). At hwy pressure were great out west on dry rocks and...
  17. 37" All Terrains. What options am I missing?

I have 37 BFG AT KO’s and have run many different tires mentioned here. I love the BFG’s and they worked flawlessly on a recent 4000+ mile trip which included rocks and ledges roots and mud. I only used 4x4 and in 4 LO a couple of times for hill descents. The 2WD with Jeeps traction control and...
