  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Those things are bright aren't they? I thought the LED headlights were nice and bright, but those things are easily twice. Looks great.
  2. Manual Transmission Club

Yeah, those ones have a little more oomph. This was just your average everyday 5.3 1500 with the cylinder cut out, and I babied it around for the most part. Granted, I used it to crawl around the yard at work too, so it wasn't all easy roads. Still, babying around my Jeep vs. babying around...
  3. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Hope that all gets fixed with a future update of either the truck software or the Tazer. Only a little thing, but that would bother me.
  4. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Still science, just not pleasing science. Took one for the team.
  5. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

    Thanks, saves some battle!
  6. Manual Transmission Club

Longer trips definitely make a difference. Been on a few long rides now that hunting has started, and I'm getting more like 19 now. Has my lifetime average up to 17.4. Can't complain for lifted and 37s, my air dam dragging the ground 4 cylinder cut out Silverado averaged 18 lifetime, I'm more...
  7. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Haven't noticed that one. Haven't done a lot of straight flat highway to use cruise since I got it (manual, too much shifting to bother). Have my tires dialed down to 30 cold to get them running even.
  8. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Do it for science! You probably already know this, but if not remember you have to do the whole reboot thing to get settings to stick. I'll try mine when I get a chance (not LE, but I can't imagine what difference there would be in the radio).
  9. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Must be something else wrong, it definitely lets you change them. Maybe they have Sport twice but named Rubicon. That would stink rather than just the wrong selection.
  10. LAUNCH EDITION Gladiator JT Club

Small consolation for those who don't have one, but the Tazer lets you change the splash. Think Superchips Flashcal does as well. Just wanted to mention it in case some of you do have one and forgot it could do that. Or a reason to get one, but admittedly, disabling Auto Start/Stop and tire...
  11. GATOR Gladiator JT Club

Get one of these... https://gibsonleatherworks.com/jeep-jl%2Fjt-key-fob-case Stylish, clip to my pants and the key is me, real hand worked leather, forms to the remote, fits like a Single Action Army in a belt holster. Yee haw!
  12. Manual Transmission Club

True, but I'm an old hand at half clutch off brake on gas other half out. I just like to scare 'em.
  13. Manual Transmission Club

I think you're onto something there. Drive casual. I'm a low RPM kind of guy. From glancing down, 2500 is about where my gut-o-meter tells me to shift. It actually gave me some gip when I first got my Jeep, as 2nd to 3rd gear doesn't like 2500, it's a fan of 3000. Didn't take me long to...
  14. Manual Transmission Club

My first heated steering wheel too, and I only just recently realized it turns itself on. Wondered why my hands were getting hot! And the butt warmer is really warm, and gets there fast. I have those things on for about 30 seconds before turning them off. Maybe when it gets truly cold...
  15. Manual Transmission Club

Well, wanted to start with weight. Appears the Sportsman 500 is just north of 700, maybe 750 with fuel. Depending on your truck there's probably enough payload for that. The tailgate would be my worry. That's a lot of bounce back there, even assuming less than half the weight is on the...
  16. Request: Side Steps photos

Thanks! They're from Rock Slide Engineering. https://rockslideengineering.com/product/step-slider-set-for-jeep-gladiator-jt/ Tires are 37 12.5 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM3s. I'm quite fond of them. :)
  17. Manual Transmission Club

I've only experienced kind of what you're saying with a cold engine, but I do have a Rubicon. Until the engine warms up, the RPMs stay a little high, 1st gear is too low, and 2nd is a bit too fast for banging around in the parking lot. I generally shift to 2nd and ride the brake lightly. Once...
  18. BLACK Gladiator JT Club

Figured I'd plant these here since I posted them elsewhere. Getting into it's natural state of covered in crud now that I'm actually using it for work.
  19. GATOR Gladiator JT Club

They sure do, especially with a manual. I'm all grooved in with mine now. This is a good comparison for me with lift and 37s. What's your overall average mileage? Mine has slipped a little with just going 10 miles back and forth to work mostly and colder weather, but still averaging about...
