Fun. The techs here can hardly change oil I don't know how I'd feel about them welding critical components. Do dealerships usually have decent welders or do they out source it to a local body shop?
On most other trucks the wheelbase and length stays the same between crew cab and extended cab. Just move the bed/cab interface forward and backward about one foot.
Seems smooth most of the time but does stumble here and there almost like it if it kept going it'd stall out. Seems the PCM drops idle a little too much then raises it back a little and it smooths out. Definitely idles smoother than my Frontier did though.
I basically tone out sales. Some are just rambling and pull information out of a lower orifice on the spot. Before buying a vehicle I obsessively research it for weeks or months. I've looked into problems, powertrain, options, built exactly what I want and located it on your lot. Not to be a...
It is, just not reliably. I've had to factory reset it more than once because it'll not pair automatically and holding the bluetooth button to get it into pairing mode doesn't work without a factory reset. I've seen several other reports of them being unreliable here. I figure I'll try to...
You'd be better off with a different speaker. The one provided by Jeep sounds decent but is finnicky at best. If I know I'm going to use a BT speaker I just grab my JBL speaker on the way out and toss in the truck since I can count on it pairing without fumbling through a factory reset every...
Try hitting the recirc button. I'd guess it's the high pressure air at the base of the windshield while driving forcing air through the system including the heater core. I haven't noticed it in the Jeep yet (almost always keep it on 70/auto) but I've had multiple other vehicles that do it.
It's not just lubrication that the oil is used for anymore, it's also used for hydraulic purposes. Chain tensioners, cam phasers, lash adusters/lifters, the pins that lock the rockers together to switch cam profiles, etc. all run on hydraulic pressure supplied by the oil system. From FCA to...
Drive it around then after you put it in park leave it running and it should pop up on the screen. It'll say the transmission must be in park and key off to update. Hit update now, then turn the car off but don't open the door (turns RAP off). After the radio reboots and starts the update you...
Got the notice last week and the update screen on the radio today...and it failed to install. I'll be hoping it tries again soon because I will not be going to the dealership just to get this done as I avoid any dealership here unless absolutely necessary.
Edit: It popped back up this morning...
The most obvious to me is the refrigerant lines across the passenger side cylinder bank. Going to have to drain the A/C system to change the spark plugs?
I don't live at the same elevation as you but I was surprised at how much more responsive off the line the Gladiator is than the lighter, more powerful Canyon I traded for it. The Canyon was definitely faster but needed revved out where there's rarely a need to rev out the Jeep. The engine is...
I haven't been on forums much but Monday at work they basically told us corporate management has decided that unless you are essential to the day to day operation of the refinery we don't want you here potentially being a carrier so GTFO and work from home until further notice. All projects shut...
Based on other countries, production and dealerships, probably. Logistics, probably not, but if the dealerships and factories are closed there's not much need to ship them.
I definitely would prefer to not have a car payment right now.
Ran some numbers (though % seem to be varying a little source to source and day to day) for the rural, BFE town I live in.
Current estimated population: 72,000
Infection Rate of 70%: 50,400
Severe Cases (O2 required) rate of 15%...
On the 8.4 system when listening to SXM it's always recording your favorites and as you scroll through it starts playing at the beginning of whatever song is currently playing. Also, the mute button pauses whatever you're listening to.
The key fob is one of my least favorite things on my Jeep. It's unnecessarily large and the key likes to switch blade out in my pocket and ends up stabbing me in the thigh. The only solution I've seen here is discussed here...
