I use an iDrive from Ultimate9 and am very happy with how it works, the flexibility of the options and the end result. I don't miss that throttle lag at all!
Yup, all items added to the vehicle as noted in your post count as an addition to your vehicle weight. So, given the calculation you use to determine towing capacity, you use that revised weight value.
The Rotopax base plate connects to my bed rack through the side panels. As you can see there are slots in those panels. Those slots give you some flexibility on where the can are mounted. I'm sure that you can find mounting plates at Rotopax that will work with your specific vehicle. I suspect...
Not really. As I travel burping the Rotopax fuel containers is just something to do when you stop for fuel or at the end of the day. I added some small caps with tethers on each fuel container to make this an easy peasy task.
