from experience, even just 5 minutes is enough to not make a mess. I think that's what it says in the book too.
  4. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Have you tried to call a different dealer in the area? Might get a more sensible approach.
  5. Low oil pressure warning after oil change.

There's a decent chance the oil pump isn't bad, but the oil pressure sensor was tricked with this filter cap torqueing issue. I removed and retorqued my filter earlier this month and haven't seen the error since...if I ever do I'll be sure to update this thread.
  6. Ecodiesel Recall 01A HPFP Parts are Available

Agreed. Nobody else has touched mine since the day it left the lot. Will have to suck it up for the recalls. HPFF and the tailgate latch together in one appt...minimize exposure to dealerships.
  7. Oil level at your first oil change

You're fine. The first interval the engine is still breaking in. I change my oil every 7500 mi. Including the first interval, as it were. I'm at 22,5 now, my third change. Oh that reminds me, i need to send in my oil samples.
  8. Cost for oil changes and fuel filter for 3.0

Yep; agree with others. Here are my DIY costs, every 7500 mi. (add another $60 for a shipped fuel filter, every 15,000 mi) $75 for 9 qt. oil (via Amazon cases of Penzoil Platinum Euro) ~$78 for oil filter (support @AllMoparParts.com) ~$30? to Oil Analyzers ---------------------- call it $190...

Oh. Yeah I just stumbled across it's 12.3" instead of 8.4" so it's a tough fit. That would be a lot of work! How do you know all this! I'm impressed. Aaand, why do you say that?
  12. Let's Talk About Uconnect Version 5

So. Slightly old thread but worthy of new life. Looks like the newest thread on the topic. News is that UC5 is in the 2024 model year. Will it be able to be installed in 23 and 22 models? Slightly rhetoric since it's only September, but still. Want to upgrade.

  14. Carrying gas cans

100% My experience with Wavian has been flawless. As stated on an earlier page, i had a rotopax fail on me for no good reason (Wavian has experienced the same conditions without concern) and man, you don't want your fuel leaking out for so many reasons...
  15. Opinions on the Quad Lock line of phone holders

What do you mean by this? I have no problem [that I'm aware of?] keeping my phone charged and alive with my quadlock wireless charger mount. Can you elaborate?

  18. CP4 Fuel Pump EcoDiesel Recall

May or may not be the same software change. Yes GDE appears to do something helpful. Maybe not the same thing that FCA is going to do; they could have a few software changes to various systems packaged together to make them play together differently. We dunno.
  19. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Ignore what? Ooooh, now I see, THERE it is! How can I ignore that thing you pointed out! I can't erase it now!
