Thanks to Joe @Discount Tire and the team from Rogerās, AR store Iām riding on a new set of Mickey Thompson MTZās!
The store was pretty cool. Several of the younger team members wanted to stay late to mount these and take part. Hahaha, until they started having to lift and lug them around!
No...
Long story. Originally wanted nittos with my build but everything was back ordered for ever. I finally gave in and went with the only 40ā tire I could get, milestar. They ended up being awesome on everything but Ice. Which were still ok.
Wind the clock forward wanting to replace them with...
Milestars started flaking at 71k miles so trying Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ this go round.
First impressions- feels heavier or more resistance, very aggressive tread and stance. Lost 3mpg. ?
really good and is my daily. I attribute that to the entire set up; king, evo, milestar.
no problem to run 85mph in the fast lane.
Rocks/dirts -great
Highway or mud very good
Snow- ok
Ice - horrible
EVO has been great. No issues. king shocks and steer stabilizer, very happy.
The 40ā milestar patās were put on because at the time I couldnāt get what I wanted due to back order. 48k driven miles on them and another 8k miles not clocked on the odometer as being toad behind Rv and I think I can...
80k here too. Only issue Iāve had is failed aux battery and main.
due to my inexperience, I blew some fuses that I was unaware
ef and was a bit pricey. Keep in mind, self induced. But batteries will be on your short list if still factory.
I have only used ram. Not opposed to others but they (ram) work for me in Jeep and boat applications. From cell phone to 12ā screens in the boat. Then again, Iām a bit oF a brand follower, if it works.
Thank you for this review. Iām a novice at this but wanting to upgrade as well.
I see a 4 speaker bar listed by them that comes with amp. Would it be plug and play with the alpine premium as well? Could I use factory alpine amp and forego installing new amp?
a lot of good conversation from my post.
Nope, it got towed like it was in the picture. They did strap it down.
The first truck was too small to get arms around tires, this is the 2nd truck that barely got it. Towed 3 miles to dealer.
I didnāt know about towing in reverse and assuming tow...
