  1. New Gladiator Hot Wheels!! Realistic fire play feature

They’re really on top of things at hot wheels, so realistic!
  2. Battery Charging and Driving Lessons Learned

Been going over a year without the ESS working properly, figured it was the aux battery being dead (or close to it). Dealer claimed both batteries were fine about a year ago (figured it was worth a check at the time since it was still under the bumper to bumper). No biggie, figured eventually...
  3. Cam failure question/poll

Haven't seen it anywhere, so thought I'd ask the question. If you've had the cam/lifter failure, post your year and mileage here. So far I've only seen it on MY22 and older, curious if that's really the case or if it's also affecting the other years.
  4. Spotted in Louisville

This a member here? Riding on 42x13.50s 😳
  5. Payload and rear springs observation

At what point do these trucks squat? I’m rather impressed as I picked up a load of wet dirt (clay), about half a yard, (hard to tell cuz of the tarp) and it maybe went from rake to level. This is with a Willys w/out max tow.
  6. Another rear window leak

2023 Willys, 13k miles. Just noticed the remnants of water drops on the inside of the rear window and obvious streaking. Going to go by the dealer tomorrow and start a warranty claim. Hoping they’ve changed the window design to fix this problem.
  7. 5 tire rotation discussion

Figured it'd be easier to start a new thread than to hijack someone else's to ask this question. Can anyone provide data on tangible benefits gained from a 5-tire rotation? I often read about more even wear and longer tire life but it's just not adding up. If I have four tires with a 40,000...
  8. Did someone get duped or was this a choice?

Saw an odd bird in the wild today. It’s either a sport S or overland, but it has red tow hooks on the front(actual hooks, not covers), a single red on the rear, plastic rear bumper, 285s, and rubicon hood stickers (on a non-rubicon hood). So, did someone get duped or did someone go through a...
  9. Moog U-joint Part numbers/location

Ok, I had an opportunity to get some parts on what basically amounted to fire sale prices. I got some Moog greaseable u-joints but can’t find a good cross-reference to tell me if they’re for the driveshaft, front axle, or what. Moog #348 Moog #344AG Does anyone have a lead on what location...
  10. These trucks are remarkably capable in 2WD

Was picking up some firewood from a construction site, thought I’d see what the truck could do without locking it in. (My plan was to lock it in as soon as it spun as I am not one to leave a site in a worse mess than it was). Heavy ruts, and an abrupt climb out of a pit, I was for sure I’d...
  11. What is this?

Is this some kind of extreme ā€œkeep the pumpkin from punching through the bed in case of severe bottoming outā€ plate?
  12. Overflowing Fuel (and the fix!)

2023 WIllys, 8400 miles, bought new in March of last year. The past 3 times I filled up (all at different pumps) the pump would kick off and a cup of gas would shoot out of the filler neck. The most recent time I even held the flow down to a low rate and as soon as it clicked - burp, gas...
  13. Hella Valuefit 500 LEDs

Just got these on, thought I’d post about them. Very well made, solid aluminum bodies. They come with solid black covers but I dig the amber so that’s what I put on there. Not street legal(obviously) but you can turn on the accent/position lighting without attracting unwanted attention. I...
  14. Gladiator doing “truck stuff”

Had an opportunity to cut up some massive logs, took it. Stuff was super green, contractor just dropped the tree yesterday. Somewhere between 900-1,000 lbs total. Enough to make the truck sit level ?
  15. bye bye 392?

    Possibly: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/2024-wrangler-rubicon-392-final-edition-confirmed.123490/ https://www.autoblog.com/2024/01/17/leaked-document-suggests-end-is-near-for-jeep-wrangler-rubicon-392/
  16. Kentucky Sold: Mopar Wheel Lock Kit

Mopar wheel lock kit for a gladiator or JL. Comes with original packaging, was on the truck since new (put on by the dealer) and just taken off by me at the first tire rotation (5,000 miles). Like new. $55 shipped.
  17. Gladiator and a bear (Smokey Mtns)

Thankfully it was just admiring the view haha.
  18. Watch your fingers!

I thankfully still have all mine. For those of you who do your own wrenching (or those hoping to learn!) I thought I’d pass along that the alternator pulley, and belt, are uncovered and ā€œbackwardsā€ (at least to me) in that the pulley faces the firewall. It also just happens to be right where...
  19. First duck!

I know some people think it’s silly but I was stoked. Got my first duck yesterday from a nice couple in a purple 4xe JLU. It’s the little things in life. ?
