How can a company not know the origin of its name? Maybe some folks at Jeep now days don't know, but that's not to say the whole company doesn't have a clue where it's name came from.
I started this thread for just situations such as these, but nobody ever posts in there...

Mine is a lease, too....But I plan on buying it at the end of it. Unless they drop a Hemi V8 JTR for a reasonable price, then I'll be snatching my winch & bumper off, and my tires & wheels off of it, putting the stocker crap back on there, and trading it in early for one.
Then, I will do the...
It's just alphabetical model numbers to distinguish the different generations.
CJ stood for "Civilian Jeep", but after that they started using alphabetical designations to distinguish the different models.
Also, a fun-fact... The word "Jeep" comes from a slang military term back when they...
I've made one video. It's not great, but it's my first attempt. I plan on making more in the future.
If y’all want to support, go to the video and hit the thumbs-up and subscribe, share it with others. Every single like and subscriber and view helps, because I don’t have any social media to...
Well... Now that I'm back from my forum-mandated [involuntary] week vacation, let's get this carnival on the road again...
New video comparing an Epiphone 57 CH bridge humbucker to a real Gibson USA '57 Classic Plus humbucker. While similar in construction, they are not being tested in the...
Yeah, I had to turn the turn-cam off, because I prefer to have in-motion Nav access to the turn-cam. Even though it is a REALLY cool feature, I know if someone is behind me, or coming up behind me when I turn, as I always quickly check all 3 mirrors and all 4 directions before turning, out of...
Thanks. Yeah, I'm honestly surprised they don't offer them in 37x12.50r17. You could always call Kumho and explain to them that the Jeep community runs 17" wheels for the most part, and that a set of KL71's in 37x12.50r17 or 37x13.50r17 would be big sellers in the US market. Who knows? Maybe...
Yeah, I've got the same lift as you (2.5" EVO Enforcer Stage 2 Plus) sitting in boxes in storage, as I haven't had time to swap out the spacer lift for a real coil lift. Can't wait to get it on there.
I went spacer at first because of a really constrained budget, and wanted to get it in the...
That's some crazy shit! I've never had any bad luck like that with a vehicle. I've always been pretty quick at chasing down gremlins and nailing them on the first or 2nd try.
I've had extremely good luck with 2 different set of Moto Metal MO970 wheels (2 different vehicles: JTR & Dodge Ram...
Yeah, you're right... You can't get anywhere near 3-feet of vertical articulation with a spacer lift... And those spacers just fall right on out when flexed too far...
I'm just busting your balls a little bit... :CWL:
These new spacer lifts are lightyears ahead of the ones from...
Why did I lift mine and put 37's on it? Because I think they look goofy stock with the tiny 33" tires on it. Because of the much longer wheelbase, they don't start looking "right" until you hit 35x12.50's with a leveling kit in the front... A 2.5' lift with 37's looks more natural, In my opinion.
How do you get sponsored? I can't even win a $5 raffle or a free random-picked contest, much less ask someone for something that costs that much, and them just give it to me... I really was born with shit luck...
