It's up to you... If you're into having tiny tires on a truck, go for it.
But, I for one, prefer my vehicle to NOT look goofy. ;)
For me, every vehicle that I lift, either gets bigger tires, or wheels & tires...Depends on how ugly or deficient the stock wheels are for my intended purposes.
Yep...Gotta go with that one. That's literally the only reason I bought one. I've wanted a Wrangler my whole life, but couldn't justify one because of the lack of room and lack of payload capacity. The JTR checked all the boxes I needed in a daily-driver.
Try a shallow socket with a wiggler on it, then a short extension attached to your impact driver. That's what I did to get mine off on the ground, laying on a gravel driveway.
I forgot that I had a set of Toyo Open Country MT's on my 2011 Chevy Z71... They were ok on the road, but not a very good tire offroad. I was very unimpressed with them, overall. They came on the truck, so they left on the truck...When it left my possession to get traded in for my 2017...
I prefer the 6.7 over the 5.9... But the weight would be WAY too heavy. The 6.7 engine by itself with the turbo & accessory setups weighs in around 1000 lbs... That's WAY too heavy for a Wrangler.
I don't buy things that I don't plan on keeping...Except vehicles. But I think I'm going to keep the JTR forever. I really like it...Just needs a V8, and it would be the perfect vehicle for me for a daily driver.
I've had $32,000 worth of shit stolen from me (from my shop) in 1 weekend while I was out of town... I know what thieves do. I have trust issues, and that incident in 2008 made it exponentially worse. And the insurance company was an even bigger thief...Screwing me out of the values of the...
Man, I don't see how yall in the big cities run around doorless and topless without worrying about someone stealing your shit... I live in the middle of nowhere, and I still leave my doors on, top on, and windows up, and doors locked at all times when I'm not in the vehicle or parking at...
Kumho is a South Korean tire company...Not Chinese. They are great tires. I've ran Nitto for almost 15 years. Ran BFG, Goodyear, Firestone, Interco (Super Swamper), Mickey Thompson, and several other brands... The Kumho is just as good a quality, and in some cases, better quality, than some...
If the stock JTR brakes don't work well-enough for you, I wouldn't dick-around with Mopar shit. Suck it up with your wallet, and pull out the big guns, and go Brembo 6-pistons and oversized rotors.
Sounds like more Mopar Common Core education system engineering at work...
First, lets give the Jeep model that can only tow 3,500 lbs. max the 475/475 6.4 hemi...Instead of the 7,000 lbs. tow rated Jeep vehicle (JTR), and now their [Not so] Big Brake Kit is even smaller than stock JT brakes...
