So as a few of you know I built a custom overland trailer from scratch last year. Well I sold it along with everything on and in it to a local.
Well yesterday I picked up this unit. Its a brand new unit that again will be another project for me. Includes a slide out kitchen with single burner...
Deposit and deal on the JL after driving it yesterday. 35” and 4.56 with the 3.6 is decent. I took it up a long hill that we drive often and it did well. No its no ecodiesel but it will do me well. Etorque makes the start stop very smooth and shifts are almost undetectable. Impressive little...
Obviously I cant say for sure if it helped, but I had put my rubicon bumper ends back on, mostly for if I hit a deer, coyote or bears in my area. Happy I put them back on as the drivers side did take the impact in full.
Yeah 392 out of the conversation lol. The 4xe intrigued me but I don’t think the tech will age well and the 2.0 needs 91 octane which in my area is 1.90/L vs 1.69 for 87. I think simplicity might take the cake on this and well, price too. I found a 4xe rubicon pretty much loaded and the dealer...
Part of it is mental, after seeing my truck and the trauma of it all, maybe something different will be better for my headspace? It sounds crazy and I dont want to sound like a softy lol but maybe. Ive already had a few sleepless nights so maybe starring at another Gladiator in my driveway could...
Waiting until I feel better to drive it. Sales guy is calling today so I can secure it with a $500 refundable deposit. My insurance company might need another week to get the “appraisal” completed.
But yeah I agree. My 20’ JT 35” wasnt terrible to drive, I actually thought it drove better than...
I wouldn’t bother as the taxes to bring it over border arent worth it plus mph speedo would drive me nuts. Resale value on american cars up here suck too.
Everyone rocks Hot Shots which from what I understand is great. In my short time with my ED I ran Stanadyne Performance and Power Service silver and white bottles. Stanadyne ran quieter, PS gave me slightly better mpg.
Same dealer has a JT rubicon ED but with less options and they want $8k more. Thats why im looking at the Wrangler. Dealers up here know JT ED are hard to come by especially in Rubicon trim. We will see.
Part of me is like, after two JT builds in the last year, I just want something off the lot and for the most part ready to go. Im going to be broken for 4-8 weeks with fractured ribs and likely other issues. So this is nice alternative, I can just add a winch and some lights. Good to go, hook...
Its tough to find any JTs at all, but I found a few Mojaves for around $70k cdn. This jeep with XR package is also $70k msrp cdn. I dont use the pick up bed religiously but its nice for the hockey and sticks, garbage days and camping. Towing isnt a concern as my trailer is only 1300lbs dry. Our...
As many of you know I was involved in a somewhat serious head on collision last week and 2021 JT Sport S ED is likely written off. See attached.
I was at a local dealer last night and they had a brand new 22’ Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme package on the lot in Sting Gray. Pretty much full pop...
I had real actual experience with my JK and JT 3.6, both AEV units. No change in mpg or power. Saved my ass in my JT last Spring though, accidental miscalculation on a creek crossing that flooded. Not sure if I would ever get one again, unless I got serious about travelling again.
