Can you show a pic how those thin seals for the tail gate are supposed to be installed? The tail gate corners are the only place I get a good leak if parked ass end uphill especially. (I do have the X4s)
I'm gonna try the warranty route but I'm not hopeful, kinda my word against their prejudice and lazy (there are shit dealers around here too.). Thinking it's gonna end up at a good fiberglass or body shop. I just can't believe I got this unlucky and it's not larger issue. Only had the thing 1k...
Yeah, it's a bummer. The thing that gets me is it is almost cracked all the way through, not just a little. I would have never seen it had I not been doing the liner install and looked to see what the bolts holding the rear in looked like up there.
Installed my front hothead liner today (first time I had the front top off) and found that the rear hard top corner was cracked. Awesome. Anyone else had this from the factory? First time I had it off so that sucks. Now to see if the dealership will agree that it's a factory defect. Without...
Can you comment more on the Fox racing steering stabilizer?--Why this over the non-racing version? What do you typically have it set to for highways vs off-road and what are your feelings about it vs how things felt with the stock stabilizer? (I know a thousand questions...)
I had pretty much the EXACT same experience and test drives (and later take-home drives) difference between the Mojave I test drove and the Willy's I drove home. The road noise was worse in the Willys which I thought seemed to be coming from "down" and not up and it wandered a lot worse on the...
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't mind greasing. Just to check but were you already levelled or lifted when you installed them? Have you needed to re-torque them at all since? I'm assuming torquing them back in doesn't require lifting?
thanks again!
I actually prefer the JKS based on it's track record so that's good to know. I'll shoot them a call or e-mail and verify that with my lift I don't have to cut. Thanks for weighing-in!
I have (or am getting) a mopar lift so I'd assume that I do not need to remove that tab?... Anyone know? Also, I'm assuming that once that tab is gone you some kind of ability to use stock linkages?
Totally new to this and I'm certain this has been discussed before but I know that size, strength and rigidity of sway bars can significantly affect ride (upgraded them in my own vehicles over the years) but do quality sway bar disconnects cause any slop or loosening of the ride on pavement...
Yeah, the two dealers I talked to suggested it would be "completely" price inhibitive... (aka you would want to just buy a new car).--Their words fwiw.
Said very well and thank you all for your input. Between this and the other ongoing thread, I've had a serious education. Although it's an awesome deal, I found a Willys for about the same MRSP off with basically the same other features I wanted. That Willys has the LSD rear diff and...
Agreed, although tires are a large part of it, snow, slush, ice and the famous "Cascades Concrete", (compacted snow on ice) are a hell of a lot different than just water especially when you are dealing with elevation and hills. In the Midwest, I was fine in eight inches of snow in my 2WD sedan...
Thanks for the input. It'd be our first truck so I have no idea what to expect. Right now there just is no selection for models already built with it, so I'm looking to see what kind of deal it'd take to get one built with the features and color we want. I've never had a car built at factor so...
Reading it now, i had read it a while ago but there are a lot more informative new posts. There's an owner that lives in the PNW like me and I think his view is going to be the most applicable to our climate. Thinking I might have to figure out how to get a better deal on a custom build or on...
I'm not saying all the time. I'm saying when needed and when it's needed it's usually lower speeds at that point. It's pretty clear when things get a bit dicey on the passes. It's just that things can change quick.
I have (from what I can tell) a great deal in the works for over 10% off MRSP on a well-equipped Mojave (First time Jeep buyer, yay!) but it does not have Select-Trac... I'm assuming keeping it in 4 high when driving in inclement weather (snow/slush) would be equivalent and it would just...
