  1. New Apex 12K Harbor Freight winch Install

It was tight but no clearance issues. Didn't even have a helper. I didn't cut the handle, nor use any Poison Spyder spacers, but as I recall I did make the slightest 1/16 trim of the stock metal bumper under the handle to make it rotate easier
  2. Gladiator Fiberglass Shell

Called and changed it to matte black.
  3. Ammo box fits under seat

    Great tip, thanks
  4. Gladiator Fiberglass Shell

Sweet, I just ordered one with the ORT last week, asked about matte black and he said no. Now I'll show him your post.
  5. Gladiator Fiberglass Shell

Did the A.R.E. factory do your custom matte paint?
  6. Your Jeep's name

My wife drives Bonnie (JL Sahara) and I have Clyde (JT Rubicon)
  7. Bonnie & Clyde JL/JT Dual Build

Finally got our hood decals installed.
  8. Front Axle Disconnect.

If you hear a thrumming noise from your front end that goes away when you shift from 2Hi to 4Hi, take it to the dealer. I'm told there's a TSB now. Here's the worksheet.
  9. Here's a puzzler

They had it two weeks. There's a TSB now. He's the worksheet.
  10. Bonnie & Clyde JL/JT Dual Build

I did exactly that with a previous Borla stainless exhaust. I'd paint a coat, let it dry ten minutes, run the engine for ten minutes, let it cool about ten, then repeat x2. May have been overkill
  11. Bonnie & Clyde JL/JT Dual Build

Not yet. Everything grinded to a halt over the holidays. Going to get serious about the research on exhausts soon.
  12. Here's a puzzler

No, when I was in 2Hi it would randomly engage/disengage the FAD. This made a very loud thrumming sound. It went away immediately if I shifted into 4Hi.
  13. Here's a puzzler

Got a call from the dealer this afternoon. I dropped it off this morning, after asking them to check the FAD (front axle disconnect actuator). They confirmed it was faulty and will have the part Wednesday. Again, my symptoms were a loud thrumming noise from the front end, at any speed, that...
  14. Here's a puzzler

Definitely not an exhaust leak. Waiting on a really cold day for the nose to return. It's been 70° the last few days
  15. Here's a puzzler

Well the jury is still out. Dealer couldn't recreate the noise, but the temps went from below 30° in the morning to 55°. The noise stops after it warms up driving on the cold days, and simply doesn't do it when it's warmer. They checked the diff and transfer and said they were fine So I have to...
  16. Here's a puzzler

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned but glad I could narrow it down. Also kind of glad it wasn't so intermittent that the service manager can't say he couldn't recreate the problem. It's definitely going to be noticeable immediately.
  17. Here's a puzzler

    Thanks. I certainly hope not
  18. Here's a puzzler

I have a JT Rubicon with 4500 miles. 2" Mopar lift with 315/70/17's. All dealer installed before delivery. Has been flawless. Thrumming noise at 35 mph started today. Roadwayis smooth. Went away in a minute. Came back and went away again. Driving home today it started at any speed, and was...
  19. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Did just under 1K miles in 18 hours going from Williamsburg VA to Knoxville TN and back. Anyone that knows that route (I64 - I81 - I40) knows that it isn't flat. I'm on 315/70/17 BFG KO2'S load range C on a 2" Mopar lift. After multiple adjustments, my speedo is precisely calibrated. 3 persons...
