I'll take an alternate opinion here and go with
don't do it.
It sounds to me like you're trying to talk yourself into making it work for you.
I understand people drive trucks in cities everyday. Good for them. I wouldn't even consider it. Sure the JT is much more manageable than some...
Honestly... this is starting to make sense to me now. Now for Wild speculation..... my favorite.
Mishap during your latch install. Either just within or juuuuuusssssttttt out of spec.
Better or worse, It got approved. Flash forward to the wedding, you close the hood and its just out of...
I have to say, this is confusing. If the latch didn't break... so installed crooked...
Ok... is another latch gonna fix it then? I'm trying to understand installed crooked. This is sounding like a new hood to actually fix. Hope not.
A bit of a shame. You were actually making a pretty solid point as far as distribution of resources and the best protection being the drivers patience.
Got lost in whatever else is going on here but a solid point.
I hear ya, personally I probably wouldn't of bothered with the first stop, other than maybe to see if I could score some free latches just to have.
I've thought of upgrading myself as the stock latches, although seemingly sufficient, don't do it for me... though, I've had my hood pinned to my...
This is the only color Ive seen that makes me 2nd guess my sarge green... well not really. I would have a serious dilemma if I was to order and this was also available though. Sweet color
Go to another dealer. They just acknowledged something was wrong but they don't know how to fix it. That's how I read it anyhow.
I guess if you just want to diy and avoid the bother, I'd probably look at the locking latches, just to have the option. Some gun metal ss latches would look...
Nobody can give you an accurate status through the build process. Any information you do get consider incorrect. Mine was in line to be built for weeks then over night it was in final inspection and 2 days later was at my dealer.... grain of salt.
My advice. Stop looking. It will be built.
I decided to skip AA altogether and picked up a IA JL3001 and run plex straight off the headunit.
Its not for everyone but might be up your ally. I just use VLC for audio atm but the entire android library would be open to you and AA nanny features removed. Ps. I know old thread.
Just a thought.
I have taken apart the center dash 5 times now... my aftermarket headunit had a bad wiring harness... installed rock cam, etc... long story will go in build thread...
Nothing broke. The first time I try to remove this designed to be removed part...
Anybody know who actually...
Soft top just isnt for me. Don't like the look closed, front opened or fully opened. It looks pretty good removed ? though.
No hate though, I get the appeal. Just not for me.
You got it. Turns out I had less than I thought. Most are redundant ones similar to these at slightly diffrent angles.
Seat tub no carpet
Carpet no seats no tub
Seat, tub, carpet
What it looks like under bolt holder
And setup for the pup
And the one from before, for easy comparison...
I've only done the rear so far but that involved removing both seats, the tub, bolt holder and jack... then I just sliced straight across under the rear all weather mats and gave it a lil tug.
Took maybe 30 40 minutes. I'm guessing the front carpet is about the same.
Might be able to just...
