Question - I really like the idea of using the alarm system to deter thieves, but what happens when you need to open the hood? Do you have to disable this option using a tazer first?
Thanks for the idea! The instructions say to jumper it to the cig outlet (P52), so no dice. :(
I have the Genesis dual battery system on the way. I was thinking this might resolve the issue because the Voswitch will no longer connect to the cranking battery. The problem though is it will still...
This one is easy for me. I ordered a pair of Rigid Industries Radiance Pods (red) based on a FB recommendation to use as back up lights.
Unfortunately, the way they mount to the bracket causes the beam pattern to go from horizontal to vertical. I’m not sure they would work that great if they...
$40K+ is a lot to drop on any rig. My concern is you’re already thinking about compromising on some options you want want - especially if you already have them in your current rig. If you’re going to spend that much money, I would try to find one that includes the options you would like and see...
I have these too. My only complaint is every time the ESS does it’s thing, the panel flickers with the engine starting. It’s super annoying. I saw a couple others posts about this a while back with suggestions to connect it to the driver’s side heated seats in the fuse box, but that didn’t help...
If it was major mechanical or software issue with no resolution in sight or it was a nasty a fight to get replaced, then I would say no. Since CFA did right by buying it back, I would purchase again. All makes and models have issues so there’s no guarantee a competitor’s rig would be any better...
We were lucky, no down lines in our neighborhood, but others in the area are not as lucky.
We probably worked on it for about a hour or so. I swear it was harder work being careful so we didn’t slip and fall on our rears!
Bit the bullet and ordered the Genesis dual battery setup.
We had a terrible ice storm the past few days and my neighbor’s tree blew up from the weight of the ice. It blocked the sidewalks and fell across the street. It looked like it was hit by a strike of lightening! We used the winch on my...
This is really cool. Thank you to everyone involved for coming up with a parts list and the programming to make this happen. Any chance there’s a write up for how to do the installation?
First one - Hell no.
Second one - yes and buy a color matching marker.
Last Labor Day, I placed a one time $1,000 order from Morris 4x4 to save an extra 10%.
Accessories were adding up and I thought saving $100 seemed good at the time. It ended up being a terrible decision that ended up...
That’s horrible customer service and workmanship is even worse! Why is it so hard to find people who give a shit? I keep reading the horror stories about leaking rear windows and shoddy repairs. If mine leaks, I’ll probably just deal with it. I’m stress about taking mine in for it’s first oil...
They blame your camera for draining the battery, but then recommend a tazer? The same tazer that other dealerships frown upon?
I don’t think your battery would drain enough to reset your tire diameter. I would think you would notice other settings being reset.
That’s some serious BS and a prime reason why I hate dealerships. A simple Google search will bring up tons of issues with these auxiliary batteries.
Well crap. I thought I was on to something that fixed my issue, but ESS returned to not working today. No idea why it started working yesterday. Now I’m back to back to thinking it’s a bad aux battery. Oh well.
Ugh. I had some land on my driver’s side front painted fender flare and it ever so slightly stained it.
It’s only about the size of a nickel and NO ONE would ever know it’s there, but if you have OCD like me, you know it’s there. :swear:
Yep, I agree. Once I gave it a chance and learned how it works, I’ve come to like it. For the same examples you pointed out, it has changed my driving habits. I was only trying to to understand from @Phljeeper point of view why it didn’t work out. I’m typically not one to debate someone’s...
