I love my Gladiator, but it just bugs the crap out of me that the bumpers are plastic. I'd like to get steel or aluminum bumpers (at least the front), but most that catch my eye seem like they would look odd with no winch in the giant hole. Full length preferred. Rugged Ridge's Venator is near...
I just checked Quadratec, Rugged Ridge, 4wd and Extreme Terrain and none to be found. These vehicles have been out a while now; I'm kinda stunned considering every 3rd Wrangler I see seems to be wearing a set. No doubt they'd sell.
Yeah, since my thinking was it would allow for more movement and possible adjustment. I couldn't figure a way for both sides of that U bolt to go in for love or money though, nor could my mechanic. But Matt (you?) PMed me that a new U bolt would be coming in the mail shortly so hopefully can get...
It's great. There is a tiny piece of weatherstripping that's starting to peel and I know that's going to get worse not better. But that's an install issue; no reflection on the BAK product. I'm not sure there's a cover on the market I'd trade it for even if money wasn't a factor. It's a really...
Thought I'd have a good update for this thread today. Tired to mount skids, Rustys and Rancho. Both were said to fit my model year gladiator. Neither did.
Very frustrating day. Got some skids in the mail this week and went to install them. Rancho front diff plate has a U bolt that's way too short.
No way that's going on with what was provided in the box.
And the Rusty's rear lower control arm's hole didn't line up well enough to get a bolt...
Thanks to you both. I got the Rancho rear and hopefully get it on today. As well as Rusty's lower control arm plates. But Rancho's website says their fronts are for 2018-2020's, and I'm not certain that the castings are identical (Jeep went to a 210 in '21, I'm told). I'll drop a DM though and...
Metalcloak told me that theirs won't fit, and no company I've reached out to has given me a "yes" answer yet. Anybody using one that bolted on without having to grind metal or widen out an existing hole?
Tactics like this must work well enough on some people or these places wouldn't do them. But I'd think a lot more people would walk and leave a nasty review than buy.
My wife drove mine for the first time last weekend, after I'd owned it for 4 months. Her daily driver is a Honda Fit, so it's a pretty big jump for her (and she's 5'1). She said it handles well but is big and made her nervous, even though my last truck was a '96 Chevy 1500 and she had no qualms...

If you join at the $100 rate, it gives you an FCA control number which will allow you 1% off of invoice price on a new FCA vehicle. This is usually done in addition to any percentage off your dealer will do on an order.
I just ordered a set of skid plates from them, only because they said "in stock." And today I got an email saying that due to Covid to expect delays with my order and that it would ship directly from the manufacturer. I didn't realize that they were drop shipping an item that shows in stock...
Mine just came in the mail yesterday. Haven't tried to install them yet. I was hoping it would be simple, but you make a great point regarding the nuts. Oh boy. Holding onto a nut must not be my strong point; I still have one rolling around inside my hood somewhere from changing the hood latch.
