  1. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

Took the 1.5 lift off front and did a 2 inch instead to level better with the rear 1.5. Only sit 0.25 higher in rear which isn't noticeable and gives some room for any hauling I'd ever do. Went Mopar extended LCA'S to add more caster which put me in the sweet spot of 5 degrees positive. Also...
  2. 35's vs 37's?

It's your rig do as you see fit. If you like having an 8 speed that hardly sees 8th and lives in 7th and sometimes 6th gear be my guest. I'm speaking from experience as I have 37s with 5.13s. I get the same gas mileage with more power on tap for all conditions. I'm not praying there is a flat...
  3. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

New extended sway bar end links. Drives like stock again only on 37s.
  4. 35's vs 37's?

37s all day long. Went 35s and regretted it within a week before I swapped to 37s. As far as gearing anyone who tells you 4.10s is plenty good enough is ignorant or lieing to themselves. 4.88s minimum but 5.13s are needed if you drive in any wind or hills doesn't matter the elevation of them...
  5. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

Did the 1.5 bump stop extension and 0.5 strike pad for rear. Looking to take the 1.5 leveling kit off in the front and do a 2 inch in the front. Will the one inch bump stop strike pad be enough?
  6. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

Thanks I got longer sway bar ends on the way for both front and rear and the 0.5 strike pad with 1.5 bump stop extension for the rear.
  7. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

As long as you don't go above 36.5 you can fit spare under in factory location. If you run true to size 37 you'll need the Clayton trackbar with the bend in it.
  8. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

1.5 spacer lift in rear. Got the 37 bug so upgraded to 37x12.50s. Do I need longer sway bar end links? Also do I need bump stop strike pads for the rear? Front 1.5 uses a 1 inch bump stop. Measured all four wheels and axle is still centered perfectly.
  9. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

I see a ton of people running Nitto Trail Grapplers around here. They look ok but overpriced for what they are if you ask me. Seems like the cool kids tire choice these days. I had a set of X3s several years back with an old Tacoma and loved them. I've found for a mud tire the KM3 or X3 is the...

Thanks. I liked the Nittos but wanted something more aggressive. Not sure if the track bar did it or when it was regeared as they did pull the outer tie rod down to remove carrier.

Found some bumper ends. Kinda dig full bumper over stubby.
  12. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

Did the 1.5 leveling kit yesterday. After measurements roughly 0.25 higher in front though you can't tell. Certainly more level for sure as measurements before had front almost 1.75 lower than rear. Question though does loosening track bar affect the total toe? Seems to drive just fine after lift.
  13. "Do I REALLY need to re-gear for 37s?" - Yes. Yes you do.

My point exactly 💯. Why have an 8sp if the conditions have to be just right to use all gears? Also why does Jeep offer 4.56 and 4.88 options even on 33s? If it was so bad to regear why would they have Dana install those gears? While it might shift out of 8th at times if it can't hold 8th or...
  14. "Do I REALLY need to re-gear for 37s?" - Yes. Yes you do.

I did 5.13s with 33s and though it's better vs the mail crawler 4.10s even with wind I still drop to 7th at times. I can say Jeep engineers haven't had it right since 2002 and before with axle or transmission gearing. You really can't put a low enough axle gear especially on the 42RLE or...
  15. 23 Gladiator Rubicon Build

Thanks. No 35s yet these are the 295s. Actual size is 33.5.
