They only added 100Lbs to the GVWR of the Rubicon going from Diesel to 4xE. So your comparison of adding 700lbs to Gladiator GVWR is a bit off.
Edit: the Diesel Sahara has a GVWR of 5900Lbs, so it appears to be a 300lb difference between powertrains, that would still keep the Gladiator under...
From my understanding, the Cherokee he had had a recall placed on it about a month or two prior to his death over the gear selector leading to many rollaway vehicles and dozens of injuries.

Honestly I leave my soft top unlocked just in case, but I park it outside with the doors off all summer too. We get a bunch of stolen catalytic converters in waves in my town, but live between cities nicknamed Mantweeka and Methdesto. So it's to be expected. Our PD offers free engraving every...
Running a vinyl stripe along the pinch seam does a pretty good job of cleaning it up. I have seen a few Wranglers with that and looks a lot better than just the AMP setps.
Welcome to the club, wife has a JLU, and I've got a Gladiator. Hers is the one getting the upgrades as mine is currently a lease. Hopefully hers will be close to "done" when my lease is up, then I can modify mine.
That is my plan, once I upgrade to a Mojave. Won't touch factory springs or shocks, but will look at 35s or 37s. Would like to keep as low of a center of gravity as possible while still getting a bit more overall clearance.
Good luck with your camping trips, I don't have advice, but my personal plan with the wife and I and 2 kids under 3 is for her to take her JLU and me pull a hard side pop up with the Gladiator. There are quite a few of these with indoor bathrooms available now, and with it down for towing wind...
I see no more than 1 MPG difference with doors off and back window out on Soft top with the top still in place as a shade. Fold the top back and it is probably a 2-3 MPG drop from everything on.
As long as the government isn't punishing you it has nothing to do with the first amendment, at least understand the amendments you complain are being infringed by a forum moderator.
Shorter wheelbase is going to dramatically reduce tow rating, that blue one was built on a JLU frame from what I remember, so rated for 3500lbs at most. Payload would also drop since that shorter base affects overall stability of the vehicle.
Rent or test drive, take the freedom panels off or flip the soft top back when you do it, because that is a huge part of the experience. I spend the majority of our spring, summer, and fall with the doors off out here in CA, and because of that I will never be without a Jeep of some kind in my...
Glad you found the truck that works for you. My wife and I have a JLU and JT currently. She is planning on the JT becoming our camping rig/trailer tow vehicle, but I have a feeling that between us and the 2 kids we might end up bringing 2 vehicles on any trips to carry gear and other stuff.
Not a regret on my Gladiator, but on the wife's JL. Let her talk me into getting her a DV8 bumper instead of saving up a bit more and going with a better brand. Probably going to rip it off in the next year or so and go with something else, quality control was garbage and couldn't even fit their...
