I’ve heard the 3.3’s are too harsh when paired with the Clayton lift which already runs a little stiff. I don’t want it too stiff. I thought about 5100’s to get by for a bit but thought they were a bit stiff when I’ve run them in the past. Was hoping the rocksports may be similar enough to the...
Hello all. I’ve almost made up my mind on purchasing a Clayton kit. Not sure what shocks to pair with it but I’m wondering if anyone has specifically paired the Rocksport reds with it? Also looking for any input on the Rocksports and first hand experience in how they compare to other shocks in...
Hey all, I’m looking to see if we can start a mega thread for various lift brands and their heights. This measurement measures the upper coil perch to the axle tube. Yes I’m aware this isn’t 100% accurate BUT it will give people a ballpark idea of what to expect after a specific lift. I think...
Most lift heights are specified off a rubicon which is that that phot is from above. So Clayton at least for that particular persons vehicle is right at 2.5.
I made a post on a Facebook group asking for this measurement. An RK employee measure their demo truck with the 3” and it was 15-7/16 and someone with a Clayton 2.5 reported 13-7/16.
So torn. Clayton seems to get great feedback, as does aev although Clayton gives your adjustable arms instead of brackets. Then you have the RK 3” which is similar in that it gives you a bit but I’m afraid it may be too tall for my plan of 37/38’s on my rubicon, Some people are throwing 40’s...
Looking at the Clayton 2.5” kit. Due to budget I’m looking at bilstein 5100’s or MC rock sport reds to pair with it. Anyone have either with the Clayton kits?
I get it. I don’t mind some take as I don’t like being nose high, but 2”+ seems excessive. I have the factory rubicon rear bumper, a rugged ridge arcus front (steel but light) and a super winch.
It’s currently quite soft. Is that mainly from the springs or shocks or both?
I thought about doing the aev kit and adding the rk triangular kit eventually or right away. Would be very complete overall.
Hello all. I recently acquired a 2021 gladiator rubicon. It has a spacer lift (I believe 2 or 2.5”) above the factory rubicon coils currently and I want to either swap springs and shocks or get a full lift. Im thinking I might as well just bite the bullet and do it once. But I would also like to...
