The Baja does lean a little more hybrid type tire over something like a ko2. But you are correct in terms of mud performance they don’t clean out super well but are certainly better than a ko2. It’s the unfortunate reality of tires, you can’t check all the boxes. They do great as an aggressive...
I just picked up my gladiator from getting a set of 40’s installed. I’ve had a set of Morimoto super 7’s for a couple months now with no issues. I noticed today while driving home from the tire shop (in the dark) my nights seemed brighter than usual when on low beam. I got home and noticed that...
Looking at installing 1 of these on my gladiator. Any one have the luxury of comparing both? I’m assuming the ebc would bite better but create more dust and the hawk would be a good balance. Thoughts? Experiences?
I can’t guarantee but I would imagine the shop just disconnected it from the pinion side and let it hang, could be wrong though. I will check for spots indicating missing weights and also any marks potentially indicating they lined up the flanges. I doubt it was marked as that’s typically not a...
I recently had revolution 5.13’s installed in my 21 rubicon gladiator. I’ve now reached the break in point where I’m doing 70mph on the highway. At 65 it’s as smooth as could be, but when I get up to 70 I can feel vibration in the floor of the jeep that definitely wasn’t there before. It’s not...
I’ve been considering the xt’s and also in a 38 but I can’t find them anywhere. Was thinking about stepping up to a 40 since they’re widely available. How do you like them so far? Did they balance well?
edit: guess if I watched the video then I could’ve had an answer lol.
I really don’t want to have to purchase another set or deal with paying labor again. But if I have to I guess so be it. I just want it right. I don’t want the gears to grenade on me.
The installer is calling revolution today to discuss. Hopefully they come up with something. Worst case I guess this is the new normal. The installer stands behind his work so idk what else to do.
Sounds similar to my issue. It’s something I can live with IF it’s not going to cause a problem or get louder. It’s not obnoxiously loud but noticeable. I’m worried it indicates a problem. If it doesn’t then so be it. I just don’t know how to tell.
I just had a set of 5.13 gears installed by a local one man shop (who has done many gear sets). Upon first drive I’m noticing some noise around 55 mph. The jeep was silent before and isn’t now. You can hear some whine that clears up once you get to 60. If you let off the throttle there’s a...
I would have no problem going with them but at 700 a tire they’re obnoxiously priced. They also now make a 40 in the km3 and they’re like 800 a piece
