I think I’m going to do it. Eventually may truss and gusset the axle but I’m thinking I can get away with the shafts for quite some time. If one snaps I’ll just upgrade then.
Manual mode just locks you in the gear. You can notice at times you’ll actually lose speed while doing it. The engine just doesn’t make the power to adequately pull 8th gear when head winds or hills are involved. The transmissions are designed to shift and I’d argue with 8 speeds, they intend it...

I can understand that. Ive ran the coopers in the past and they’re not atrocious but you definitely feel the lugs at slow speed and hear it at higher speeds.
I’m having my jeep regeared. I have a Tazer installed but the installer of the gears hasn’t worked with one before. I was going to just program it when I pick it up but if I don’t have to sit in the parking lot messing with it I’ll just drive it home and do it then.
