Picking my jeep up today from getting 5.13 gears installed. I plan to replace my 37” ko2’s soon. IMO they look wayyy too small on the jeep. I’m not helping anything with the KBD flares either. At 30psi they’re measuring 35” tall. I contemplated going with a more true to size 37 but worried that may still seem too small. 38’s would be nice but that limits me to Patagonias or expensive falkens/nitto. Most recently I’ve been pondering 40’s but they also get pretty pricey with the exception of Patagonias, I can get them for 375 each installed locally. Any thoughts? These ko2’s are great minus the size discrepancy

Toyo makes an Open Country RT Pro in a 38x11.50r17. Load range D, and they are about $350 at discount tire..

I’m a wide tire fan. The 11.50 would bother me I think lol

If you are running the C load KO2s, they are basically the same width unmounted, so should be similar installed.

I feel the ko2’s are too small in all dimensions

Not sure what ya want. Either pay more money for the size and look you want, or don't?

I'm running 42x13.5R20 on mine. But they are expensive. Only 2 companies make them Nitto and Mickey Thompson.I would look at what you do with your rig and then look at what tire best fits that need. Just because the tire looks good doesn't mean it will suit your particular need the best and you might end up hating it because it ends up hurting you in the long run. I am not saying buy road tires for it. Just saying some tires are better suited for off-roading then other tires if you use your rig for that a lot.

I made this point a while ago in another tire thread, but we really should be moving to calling them a "33-class" or "35-class" or "37-class", etc., tire instead of expecting a true 37" tire. Then the buyer knows a 37" tire will be *somewhere* between 35.1" and 37" for a 37"-class tire.

I get that tire manufacturing is as precise as they can make it (or want to), but there's no excuse for having a "37" inch tire be only slightly larger than a 35", which KO2s are known for. I understand slightly smaller, like 36.5" or so, but not 35.375"-35.5".

I would have no problem going with them but at 700 a tire they’re obnoxiously priced. They also now make a 40 in the km3 and they’re like 800 a piece
