  1. Your gladiator after a year or two in the rust belt

I did 2 heavy coats (and probably 3 in some areas). The spray cans are big. I bought 2 cans and have some left over. So I would get 2 cans minimum. If you think that you are really going to apply it heavy, get 3 cans. Here's a tip: Wrap some blue painter's tape around the spray wands about...
  2. Your gladiator after a year or two in the rust belt

That's a good plan, and should serve you well. The 3M Cavity Wax goes on fairly heavy and stays soft. The application wands give 360 degree coverage inside the frame rails. It doesn't stay wet like Fluid Film, and it doesn't set up firm like HD Metal Protector. If you do a Google search, you...
  3. Windshield door seals. 2021 has them.

First, take a deep breath, everything is going to be OK. And, yes, this appears to be you not being able to comprehend that there are other ways to look at issues besides the one way you look at them. I mention something, which is met with a passive-aggressive reply from you explaining to me...
  4. Decaling the hood, some questions

Trust me, if you do much work at all on a modern vehicle, you'll use it more than once.
  5. Windshield door seals. 2021 has them.

You've completely missed the point of these channels, but I understand it can be tough to see another point of view. They aren't to catch the drip from the roof drip rail that occurs when you open the door. They are there for the leak that occurs at the corners with the doors closed. It's...
  6. Windshield door seals. 2021 has them.

I have these on my 21. They are fairly hard plastic, so I can't image they will do much for noise. They are simply channels designed to catch the inevitable water leak at the corner and direct it down toward the footwell instead of it dripping straight down.
  7. Your gladiator after a year or two in the rust belt

Take a look at 3M Cavity wax for the inside of the frame. That's what I used on the inside of the chassis when it was new. Check out 3M 08852 cavity Wax and 3M 08851 Applicator wands. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40066669/ I have used Fluid film in the past, but I didn't use it on my JT...
  8. Your gladiator after a year or two in the rust belt

Unfortunately, the welds will typically have some paint flaking because the slag wasn't removed from the welds prior to the paint process. I would clean the welds thoroughly to remove any loose paint and then coat with RustOleum brush-on satin or semi-gloss black paint.
  9. Engine oil -- what weight and brand do others use?

If you poke around on BITOG, there is a person on there who was a Pentastar design engineer, screen name OIL_UDDER. They state that the heavier weight oil leads to accelerated wear of the cams and in the head at cold start...
  10. rear rattle

Check the e-brake cables. I added some pieces of rubber & ty-raps where they go through the looped wire guides. Also make sure that they aren't hitting the floor pan.
  11. Has anyone noticed their gladiator burning oil

Back when I had Subarus, which wasn't all that long ago, they said 1 quart every 1000 miles was acceptable. At that rate, you'd never need to do an oil change, just a filter every so often
  12. Rear License Plate LED Wiring Harness - Mopar Part Number?

Just checked and it's out for delivery today. D'oh! BUT, I have been thinking about abandoning the factory plate lights and installing light(s) directly above the plate. The same harness would come in handy for that project.
  13. Rear License Plate LED Wiring Harness - Mopar Part Number?

That's too bad. I ordered it las week from BAM.
  14. Rear License Plate LED Wiring Harness - Mopar Part Number?

Better late than never I suppose ... but 68349976AC is the harness for just the license plate lights.
  15. Grinding/Hum noise coming from Front (Axle?)

Just find a spot on a straightaway where it normally makes the noise when hitting a bump. Put it in 4Hi while going over the same area and see it it makes the noise. I'm not saying to try to shift it into 4Hi while it is making the noise.
  16. Grinding/Hum noise coming from Front (Axle?)

Sounds like it could be the FAD (Front Axle Disconnect) issue with the bushing at the inner/outer axle shaft connection. Does the noise go away if you put it in 4Auto (if you have Selec-Trac) or 4Hi? If the noise goes away, then it is likely the FAD issue.
  17. Has anyone noticed their gladiator burning oil

Jet & Papa - You guys sure are entertaining...
  18. Has anyone noticed their gladiator burning oil

I think what we have here is a lack of communication. What JET_83 is saying is that the OP told us that they changed the oil at 32,000 miles and it now has 36,200 miles on it. There is no mention by the OP of any oil changes before that. IF the OP bought the vehicle used, and IF the OP's...
  19. That “tuck” though! - 37" BFG KO2 C with +25 mm Method Wheels - No Lift

Old school bias ply. Nice! Those are legit pizza cutters. I wonder why they limit rim width to 6.5" max.
  20. New Jeep Gladiator Buyer

Have you ever driven an Overland? Either way, the OP should go out and test drive the different models to see what they like best.
