I wonder how well the reliability is in the 2.0T that is in the JL, JLU's? I know it's a stout motor. They gave me a Turbo JLU as a loaner when putting my Steering box on. I was impressed with it.
With all the Refiners shuting down Refineries and building Biodiesel plants, I suspect that Diesel will get much cheaper than Gasoline in the future. Just a guess.
Love mine. In 7 months and 10,000 miles only issue I've had is getting the steering box replaced. And the 488 gearing with the 35" tires make this sooooo much better than stock.
You all make me feel cheap. LOL. Anyway I threw this Weathertech rear cover off the Sierra I traded in on the JT. Keeps the pets off the leather and anything else dirty I throw back there. One thing I do like about it is I can take it off in a minute and thrown in the washer.
If they put that 5.0 Coyote motor in that then Jeep will have to offer the 5.7 Hemi. Or suffer massive sales hit. One thing is for sure. The release of the new Bronco will only make the JLU and JT line of vehicles better. :)
The 6.4 is marketed to the slim market with deep pockets. Not made for the masses that could afford a $2K 5.7 Hemi bump. If they offered an affordable 5.7 option then 3.6 sales would go down to probably less than half of overall sales. Having the vehicle lines C.A.F.E. standards to take a huge...
You won't see a 392 Gladiator until Ford comes out with a Bronco truck. Only reason Jeep is throwing it in the JLU is so try to reduce the Bronco sales bleed. Bronco turbo motors are strong, and if that's important to a buyer they will go Bronco. This will entice them to re examine the JLU.
I own an Overland JT. I did own a TJ Rubicon with a 2" lift and 32" 10 ply Mud terrains. I also owned a TJ Sport. The electric lockers and 4:1 transfer case, makes things look easy that a standard Jeep has difficulty or cannot do. I owned one, I know. The JT Rubicon package would be even more...
A few Mods should get your GVWR where you need it for reasonable increases. No doubt the limiting factor on the JT are it's spring rates. What about these?:

And next factor would be tires. So put on...
