Also on the JL side they have been building mid-July orders while many early June orders are still waiting. And completing them is not done in the order they were built. Guessing JT side will be similar.
Over on the JL side they still have 2020s in inspection for 3 weeks. They were storing all the 2021s they built but started shipping them middle of this week. One dealer said they wouldn't ship the new ones until the 2020s were shipped.
Crypto only shows when a build sheet has been created when it is on the assembly line. Sticker after it is done.
In reality there is no clock ticking until they start 2021 production because they can't do anything until then. I've never heard of a firm build start date from Jeep Chat or dealer...
A lot of JL 2021 orders were given a date a week before the date originally given by Jeep for the start of build but they all kept getting pushed back and production started on the date originally projected. But some are still getting pushed back for their dates. Nature of the beast.
I don't see any 2021 builds FOUND on Crypto. If they started Monday there should be some. JL 2021s started Monday and there have been about 20 build FOUND starting yesterday.
You could call the factory receptionist and ask them to run out onto the floor and see if they are building 2020s or 2021s. Bet you get a different answer compared to Jeep Chat.
Over on JL I analyzed Crypto data 24 hours per day to give a quick response on the forum of all builds FOUND and sticker FOUND in each run. Now that my job has started I am not available to do it but another member is doing it until September. Over there Crypto has hundreds of open orders and a...
Nope, Crypto reads the Jeep build sheet and window sticker databases and they just report when a build sheet is found because it actualy entered assembly and sticker when it has completed. And those databases are for historical reference so they are not real time and can be delayed one to three...
Since they are still building the 2020s guess it will be a while. Like I tell them on the JL side, one arriving to your driveway on Christmas eve would be a real nice present including Jeep candy canes in the glove box.
For Wranglers the 2021 orders opened June 5 with an estimated production date of August 10. They started building them today. So pretty accurate on their estimate.
There's been a discussion on the JL forum for awhile for these bumpers. I haven't read every post but seems might even might be the same mfg. that makes them for Jeep. You can look over on that forum to see if anyone has ordered them.
If you mean Crypto the soonest it will show a build sheet found is after the build physically starts. And it may take a day or three after that to show. The sticker won't show until it is done and out the door - or two to three days later.
