It's like going in to Walmart to get a sauce pan. Why are there 73 to choose from?
I just contacted Skyjacker tech support, and the diesel-specific kit below has the following specifications...
Skyjacker appears to make JT Diesel specific lift kits. I'm considering the 2.5". But I don't know anything about the height change, increased up-travel or spring rate.
Like the one in this image. But the springs were apparently not improved (6376AA), and a lot of people are complaining that they're insufficient. I've only had the vehicle 2 weeks, so I'm looking in to increasing stiffness and up-travel before I do anything fun with it.
Awesome, that would be super helpful! And yeah, that steering stabilizer was the other element I was curious about.
I'm also trying to determine if this Skyjacker kit might address the same limitation (i.e., poor uptravel), and then just upgrade the shocks at a later date, if I need them...
I think you're right. My build date is 29-April 2022, and based upon other information on this board, I appear to be in the clear. However, the springs and up-travel are apparently unchanged from previous models, so I'm looking in to lift kits that can address that shortcoming. But the shotgun...
This is valuable information. Couple questions:
1) This kit, with the N3 shocks? https://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-suspension-lift-kit-64930c.html?find=2022-jeep-gladiator-jt-4wd-856061
2) Can you say what the actual height increase was? I'm concerned about fitting under my garage door.
3) Did...
Is this true across models? My Sport S was built April 29, 2022 and has 6376AA right and left front springs, which have been shown to be associated with this problem.
I know absolutely dick about anything automotive.....will any old 2" lift solve this problem, or does it require stiffer springs to compensate for the weight of the diesel motor? Consensus appears to be that shocks are not involved.
I could be wrong, but the guys that have had this problem appear to have a different bump stop than you (image cropped) and me. I've just started reading about this today, and I don't yet know if my 2022 Sport S Diesel is affected. Need to go find a speed bump tomorrow or something.
Damn brother, you guys are made out of money over here. After reading about this, it appears to be a spring stiffness, and possibly a bump stop problem. So I was thinking hydraulic bump stops and/or a leveling kit with stiffer springs. I'm interested in the links below. They're close to what...
Is this the ~$1,400 kit from MetalCloak? As far as you can tell, the springs and the bump stops are the critical components, right? Can you speculate on whether their 2.5" leveling kit would work? I won't be able to fit in my garage with 3.5"......if my wife even let me come in after spending...
I have a 2022 Sport S Diesel with 6376AA front right and left. I've only read through the first few pages of this thread and, to be honest, I don't know if mine has this bottoming out problem or not, but I'm worried. I need to go find a speed bump.
