Brought it home last Thursday. Absolutely loving it, most fun and fitting vehicle ever for me. Spent yesterday adding the small practical accessories- tonneau cover, floor mats, grab handles, phone mounts, stubby antenna, sill protectors, hood deflector etc. More serious mods to come.
Will know alot more after this quarter when numbers are released. This will be the first sales report where factory incentives were available, and at least some advertising was out (superbowl). Alot of the general non Jeep fanatic public probably saw the Gladiator for the first time superbowl...
Awesome looking rig! My wife and I love taking our kids to see the wild horses in Corolla when we make the trip every other year. What size tires, lift etc... are you running?
Seems like the incentives and dealer discounts are working (as expected) here in NY. Starting to see more on the road, and noticing them disappearing from dealer sites- particularly dealers who advertise decent discounts upfront. Purchased my Rubicon last week at almost 7% below invoice, which...
I just yesterday purchased a Rubicon at over 6% under invoice also in NY. I also have a lease and chose to just keep that vehicle in addition to the JTR until the lease is up- 8 months in my case. If you are not over mileage etc... on the lease and can afford it I would just keep it as well...
Joined today. Absolutely love the truck and the color- best ride home ever! My perfect options- black leather, tow pkg, 8.4 premium audio, cold weather, led lights, aux switches, cargo utility group, machined wheels. Cant imagine how much enjoyment this thing will bring my family!
Yep- to me thats just not enough, would need a couple thousand more off on the demo to make it worth it.
Appreciate everyone’s feedback- have pretty much ruled out the demo at this point.
Im confused on the math-Im coming up with option 1 still costing less despite costing about 200 more in interest? Essentially 4950 in interest for option1 vs 4750 for option 2? Tried several calculators and the .25 percent difference is only a few hundred bucks savings.
Need a little help making sense of a few JTR offers I have from different dealers:
Deal #1: New JTR, MSRP 56245, dealer selling price 50,483. Includes all the options I want and nothing I don’t. Interest rate 3.49.
Deal #2: Used (Demo) JTR, MSRP 57,680, dealer selling price 51,875. Driven by...
Seems like a big complaint with the soft top is how it sits on top of the cab when open rather than folding all the way down. I think the thing most are overlooking is with just a couple bolts you can lift the whole top assembly off, and it fits in the bed. Still much faster than removing the...
No the heat was before the hotheads. Not as noticeable after, but I now go soft top from about april to november. Only reason I even put the hardtop back on for winter is that I have it and figure I’ll save the soft top from the salt in NY.
Not a bad option, but the drawback is that it complicates removing the entire hard top when you want to. I believe the sunrider has to be uninstalled before removing the rest. Also from a cost perspective the sunrider plus hardtop is not that much less than a dual top group from factory.
Exactly why I ended up buying the soft top after the fact. It is so much faster- can do the sunrider position from the drivers seat at a red light. I was constantly leaving home in the morning in rain with the hard top and disappointed later when the sun came out and I could only open the...
The air flow thing is exactly what people say makes it cooler. Honestly the new hard tops are so thin how could they be any cooler-especially stock without headliners? Maybe a white hard top would reflect some heat outward, but regular black can't be any better than a soft top.
Gotta love this topic- most opinions I've seen are the opposite- that the soft top breathes better and therefore doesn't get as hot when sitting. Not hot enough long enough here for me to really be able to say- but I can attest that with the hard top on before I did the hotheads headliner you...
Dont have a JT yet, but have a JL and live in upstate NY. Originally bought with only hard top, and even installed a hoist for the hardtop in our garage. Took about a month to realize that if you really like top off driving the soft top would be way better. Ended up buying a premium soft top...
