I've never heard of these wheels, exactly why I started the thread. Good looking wheel and very light weight for a beadlock. Pretty penny for them though!
This is a great look! I've been looking at this wheel but in the 0mm offset which comes as an 8.5" width. Running a 13.5 width tire I think the 9" may be a better fit but either should work.
I've searched through a lot of threads but havent found a show off thread specifically for beadlocks. I'd like to see if there are some options out there I havent heard of.
Please provide some info:
- Wheel brand/name
- Diameter x width
- Offset/backspace

The Bilstein 5100s are a good budget shock. They will be firmer than stock, but not harsh. If the springs are doing their job the shocks should be good to go. If you want adjustability cost will go up.
I had an AEV 2.5" lift, both AEV salta and borah wheels (25mm/ 5.72 backspacing), and 37" KO2s on my JTR (same wide axles). I had no issues with rubbing. At a 35" tire I dont think you'll have any rubbing issues with the lower fenders. The wheels tuck in nicely, just the bulge of the 12.5 tire...
I've been starting to read a lot on different PSC upgrades and have called them myself for info.
I am currently running the Apex boost kit, it's been in for over a year now. It does help boost the steering but I will say that locked up or in bound up it still struggles. I can tell the steering...
4 years, 1 JT, and 3 different lift kits ago i tried that on a sport and came in at 7.1 and 7.2. It was too much. Swapped to stock length CAs and was right around 6.0
What size tire are you running and how are the components you ordered holding up to them? I'm on 38s and wheel pretty hard, but also DD. Looking for a very similar set up (PSC box, pump, cooler) without the ram so I can maintain good steering feedback but still be able to turn aired down on the...
The 35x11.5 was on an AEV Salta wheel (non beadlock option 17x8.5) and the others on the AEV Borah. I've run the Borah as a non beadlock and now as a beadlock. As the tire size has gone up so has the trail rating
This is really about use case. If you like playing in the rocks then I think the 11.5 is too narrow. I've run a 35x11.5, 37x12.5, and 38x13.5 and the more I go off road the more I appreciate the extra wide footprint. If you are daily driving and doing light trails then I think the 11.5 makes...
I'm not going to rip them, people screw up. At least the are owning the lions share of the blame and bringing a fairly positive attitude to the whole situation. That's a tough day, glad no one got seriously hurt.
I can't recall on your build if you have extended your brake lines, but now is a good opportunity to upgrade to braided lines. Should provide a little better pedal feel in addition to the other braking components.
The "Silverback" kit I went with combines a long arm system in the front and a triangulated 4 link in the rear. You don't need to cut or weld anything for the rear to work but if you are running a 37" tire or larger its recommended (I welded the rear bracket). The front long arm portion of the...
I hit a similar snag with my RK long arm kit. I'm running a hubcentric 1.5" spacer for now. Exploring other wheel options for the long term. 17x9 with 4.5" BS seems to be the most common wheel spec in a beadlock. I found one KMC wheel 17x8.5 w/ 4.75 BS
A thought regarding the brakes is going...
