This is good advice, take your own risks not those that others think you should. It’s your rig, don’t give in to “just send it” or “ it’ll be fine, I did it.”
3.73’s with ~35” tires do well enough, you loose a bit of power, but it’s not gutless.
With a 305 width your enemy will be your LCAs and sway bar end links, I’m on a 295/70r18(34.3x11.5) and I am losing some paint on my LCA’s even though I have never felt or heard rubbing, another 1/2” of width...
At 12k miles on my gas overland with 3.73’s , ~35” tires and a Tazer that recalibrated the speedo I have gotten up to 21mpg with the cruise at 65 for 400 miles of South Dakota intestate, 18.5 mpg on the same stretch going 80 on the way home.

The Chevy dealerships near me load themselves up with cheap cars that way... or used to when you could get loads of new...
I have been sitting on a Daystar .75” full spacer kit and Rubicon take off shocks and springs since December. When I tried to throw them in back I’m December I couldn’t drop the axel low enough with just the bottle jack I had to get the springs out. Tossed in the front shocks while I had it all...
