I bought a Jeep at my local dealer in Washington, did a few mods, then shipped it to Hawaii. I have had the recalls done in Hawaii.
Both dealerships treat me great. The service writers in Hilo, Hawaii are just outstanding, the dealer in Washington still helps out when needed, and he let me...
I agree with the sentiments said before me. Not a fan of social media of any type, here in my cave. No Facebook page for me-I am a grown up! Want to know what I've been doing? Call me.
BUT...When I needed to learn how to remove and replace the coil overs and plugs under the intake manifold...
Standard, for those of us following! Tinted is blocking the signals/brake lights, night running lights. How many dummies are not paying attention on the road already and dimming the indicators does not help wake them up.
"We know lighting is all about personal style + function" you state...
My answer: Autostop Eliminator. Then I removed the aux batt permanently (who wants to keep diving into its hiding spot?). I did not remove the Aux batt cables, just attached them to the main batt. No problems what-so-ever in the last 3 years. Simple.
I wouldn't be able to say it much better. And I add:
-This engine tranny combo does a poor job of holding back downhill. Going down a steep hill at 3500 rpm in 2nd just for some hold back is disconcerting. I bought a manual to get compression hold back and it doesn't do it well.
-The 1 and 2...
I've done the same thing. One go my magnetic shop lights rode to Ace Hardware and back with me. 😂 I've had to do what aircraft mechanics do and do a check after working on the Jeep to see that all tools are where they should be.
No question...my garage needs a whole QA Department!
Thumbs up! I had '65 Barracuda, slant six, offenhauser manifold, Carter 4 bbl carb, three on the tree. Great car, indestructible. Sold it with 279,000 ish miles on it. Had to tell that story!
Since I am here, I bought a Sport S. Well featured and without features I did not need. I'm 70...
I think I mentioned this before....I do NOT run the start/stop. I think it is stupid. They did also put a much heavier duty starter on these things, so if you are not using start/stop, you will likely never ever replace the starter. You might not have to anyway, but this guarantees it. I use a...
I have used JScan to change from halogen to LED lighting in my Sport S. Easy. I bought the extension wiring to make it easier to use the next time I want to make a change.
I bought the Auto Stop Start Eliminator for $99. It remembers the last selection I made on the dash switch. Insert it...
Cadillac did the same thing to me. Defective manual tranny under warrantee. Dealership said it was my fault the Tremec 6-speed failed, yet it is supposed to be bullet proof, a racing transmission. They entered their lies into the records and there was nowhere I could go that the info wasn't...
If only we could find out what day our Jeep went down the assembly line.
We used to say "get a Wednesday vehicle". Why? Well, a Monday vehicle was made the day after a party weekend, workers not up to snuff. Tuesday, follows monday too close. Thursday the workers are already thinking...
My first change at 1500 miles then my interval will be 5,000. I use K & N filters. May not be true now but used to be that OEM filters were cheap junk, even though the OEM raves that we should use them .
Would like to hear more on filter quality if somebody else knows better than I.
