During the warranty period, I go a little crazy and keep all of the following for my oil changes:
1) receipt for oil & filter
2) end flap from filter box showing the part number.
3) back of the 5-quart oil jug showing the UPC and all specs
I'm not sure if the chrome supports on the rear outboard headrests bother anyone else, but ...
I don't like how they look through the rear window. So, I wrapped them with some 'coreless' paracord that I had on hand. Not wanting to remove the headrests right now, I ended up using a single wrap...
There is nothing that automatically guides the rod into the lowering mechanism. You have to have the rod going in fairly straight, then the white plastic 'cone' guides it in.
Lowering spare starts at about 1:07:
Was the order placed without an agreed out-the-door price? If you already agreed to a price, then the dealer should stick to it (but they probably won't). I kind of get the feeling that they are setting you up to either pay more, or have you walk away so they can sell it to someone else at a...
Well, I guess it all depends on your skill level and willingness to install a complete new sound system, and what you are trying to accomplish.
My days of tearing vehicles apart to install a killer sound system are far behind me. I really wanted the big screen and the other features of the...
I have a 2014 JK with the premium audio system, and I can tell you the JT premium audio sounds horrible compared to the JK, both being stock. The stock JT premium system is really muffled sounding without any clear highs and muddy bass.
On my JK, I added caps to the dash tweeters to brighten...
My father gave me his old car when I turned 14. That was just shy of 40 years ago. I still have it.
I look back and think "wtf was my father thinking giving me this car?". But, by the time I actually started driving, I had spent hundreds of hours and a bunch of my hard-earned money fixing it...
That's excellent that they were able to fix the vibration. The problem that I have had in the past is that the tire shop will have Hunter Road Force machine, but they will not use the roller, essentially using it like a regular balancer. The shop needs to have the Road Force machine, but...
Others have reported it missing as well:

There are different part numbers for the mats with the red logo and the all-black ones. I'd give you the p/ns, but I tossed my list when I decided to go with the Weathertech Floorliner HP mats to avoid the snap-together rear mat and drain holes.
EDIT: The QTec web site lists both part...
I think you are just seeing manufacturing variations in the cables. You might get lucky and buy 1 cable and have it match your other, but if you want to fix this 'problem', then you may want to buy multiple cables and try to match what you have, then return what you don't use. Just make sure...
I have tried:
- stock
- cut-down stock
- 13" AntennaX https://antennax.com/i-24623578-off-road-13-inch-antenna-2007-thru-2021-jeep-wrangler-jk-jl-gladiator-jt.html
AntennaX states "99.9% of the time reception stays the same OR improves". Well, I guess I'm part of the .1%, because reception...
^^ Wow, that's weird!
It's almost like they were primed & painted and now the paint is wearing off. Did you buy it new? If so, I'm kind of surprised that they won't replace them under warranty.
I have a 2014 JK with black fenders. They are slightly faded, but the heavier texture of the JK fenders make them stain easily. I swear there are still mud stains on my JK from 7 years ago. But, I never treated the fenders with anything when it was new, I just started wheeling it.
So, the...
No experience with the paint, I just remember seeing this:
